Last week I went to @rewirefestival at The Hague. And also to see the Erwin Olaf exhibition. It was wayyy to busy. So I didn't had that nice calming effect a museum mostly has on me. But fun to see some video work from him. Which are like moving pictures (if that makes sense), they go very neat in a loop. I walked by a park afterwards with cherryblossoms. And found a twig of blossom on the ground. Very relaxing to draw in the park with the beautiful weather that day. There were two short concerts in the evening in the big church. Made a picture before @nyx.edc and @iona.fortune started. It was also amazing how during the concert almost no one was taking pictures or filming with their phone. It makes the experience more intense. So I didn't either. It was wonderful! NYX is an electronic drone choir. Six women with beautiful voices. Also very experimental with what they can do with their voice. Combined with the electronic sound from Iona it was mesmerizing. After them @nicolasjaar & Group played with many traditional instruments but also a big instrument that looked a little bit like a xylophone but sounded very different. And some deep bass waves between the music. I'm impressed by this festival so maybe next year a full day! The colors of the program leaflet looked nice with the drawing so I made a bit of a collage. Also I like the idea of a visual diary. A bit long story behind the drawing of some cherryblossoms. 😅
