Having an old boat is really like a big treasure hunt. 🏴☠️We had rust in our drinking water (see last post oh god) so we had to look for the cause! But how do we find the watertank? 🤔After a few screws and some pulling, the wall came loose from it’s holders, revealing the water tank! And the (probable) cause of the rust... We FINALLY fixed our heater!!! Woohooo!!! It’s a nice temperature again! 😄 The problem was air in the diesel gauge, but we fixed it by cleaning the filter and adding a little hose through which the air can escape. Yesterday I went to this presentation about plastic organised by my university, because when I sail around the world I want to combine it with a research project. So I have to broaden my perspective as much as possible! 🤓Very interesting topic, and one thing striked me the most: a marine biologist said that ofcourse we can look at our fishes and sealife to see how bad it is. ☹️ But we already know it’s bad. We have to look at the source of all this plastic, then we can tackle it!🏭 So much that we still don’t know... and it was pretty depressing.. but I felt inspired to do something about it!
