My heart has broken and will never be the same again. Sidney Baker (Sid Zee) has left this world and I feel ripped open. He bounced into our lives 15 years ago ... a tiny little puppy with a scar on his front leg, a scar in his ear, a hole through his tongue ... rescued by the SPCA from the streets of surrey ... so full of life and hope and love. He won us over the second his beautiful golden brown eyes met ours. It was love at first sight for all of us and we took him home. There will never be another dog like him. He was the smartest, funniest, bravest, sweetest, strongest, most incredible creature of all time. He literally saved my life simply by being by my side through the darkest of times. He would have done anything for us and I can't believe he's gone. So many adventures and so many heartbeats pressed into mine. Thank you so much to Penny Barwise and John for all that you have done for him and for being there with him in the end. He passed peacefully away yesterday afternoon lying in a sunbeam on the grass surrounded by love. It's exactly how he would have planned it. I love you so much Sid.
