Für Folge #5 hat sich die DJ und Produzentin Judith van Waterkant mit unserem Host Moritz getroffen und über ihre bisherige musikalische Reise und aktuellen Projekte gesprochen. Judiths erste Berührungen mit der linken Techno Szene hat sie Ende der 90er durch das Jugendalternativzentrum kurz “JAZ” in Rostock. Mit dem JAZ landete Judith dann Anfang der 2000er auf dem Fusion Festival, damals mit 8000 BesucherInnen, und ist spätestens seitdem der Szene nicht mehr fern geblieben. Während ihres Studiums der Psychologie, zuerst in Greifwald später in Leipzig, veranstaltete Judith viele Szeneevents, was sie auch immer noch tut. Judiths Leidenschaft für Techno war also früh geboren, ebenso wie der Wunsch selbst Musik zu mixen. Doch im partriachalen System war es für Judith als Frau ein langer Weg mit Hürden und Überwindungen, selbst mit dem Auflegen anzufangen und DJ zu sein. Dieses wichtige Thema und Judiths Erfahrungen als Frau in der Musikbranche hat Lea Schröder in der Podcastreihe “Das Patriarchat hat Gästeliste” (s.u.) wunderbar aufgearbeitet. (Hörempfehlung) So konnten wir uns mit Judith Zeit nehmen, um ihrem musikalischen Schaffen Raum zu geben und zum Beispiel über ihren lange entwickelten Stil des Auflegens, den sie als “slowrave” bezeichnet, zu sprechen und in ihre Songs reinzuhören. Ce soir on te présente une des stars de notre open air : la Stage TEPPISH KINGDOME qui sera l'antre de la slowrave, by @teppish_people Le Teppish Kingdome est un projet de scénographes, musiciens, djs et perfomeurs. Le projet est né autour de l’amour pour le downtempo, musique électronique lente et grooovy. Proposant de la scénographie, s’associant avec des concepts interactifs : un dôme unique métallique habillé de sa toile conçue sur mesure, un sol recouvert de tapis persans, un bar à costumes, paillettes et maquillage, du mapping interactif et beaucoup de facettes. L’ambiance est posée, basée sur l’envie de vivre l'expérience du moment présent et de la magie collective; hors du tumulte extérieur. Le dôme : composé de 4 pattes métalliques de 5 m de haut en formes d’arches, recouvertes par une toile chaleureuse ouverte sur 3 côtés; pour une surface de 90 m2 protégée du soleil et de la pluie. Dear ALL, we are totaly happy to welcome the ambassadors from the Distant Grounds crew in our beloved venue @kreativfabrikwiesbaden to tell some stories and play some tunes from this beautiful little festival far away on the Peloponnes peninsula. This connection started about 2015 with an request to participate on the next issue of the festival, should have taken part some yaers latter. At first this plan was never realized. Inbetween we bacame good friends and the connection became just stronger with some gigs in Nuremberg and even a big show case of Mach Mal Langsam Kollektiv during an epic La Óla Electronica party yars ago as a consequence. Anyway, last year Janeck and his dj colleague Nadia aka @esperance.lefou have done it, to get to Velika to join finally the Distant Grounds family. The jouerny was magnificent. Warmly welcomed by Kalle we’ve spent 4 wonderful days on the „paridise island“ of music, delicious dishes, vines & cocktails, selfmade sauna and a couple of things you can just imagine on the perfect festival. We were impressed by the level of organization, the perfect infrastructure, the cultural program and love for ditails! Impressive is the fact, that the organizers come from Nuremberg, Augsburg, Colgne, Berlin or other far places. So, we have decided to invite Kalle and Chris, who organize @dist4ntgr0und5 already since 10 years, to us and ask them: “how do you actually do a festival outside of Germany?” What do you need, which resources? Which knowledge? So... wie sicherlich der ein oder andere Mensch es schon von den Dächern zwitschern hören hat, ein Closing bleibt selten alleine. Und so kommt es dazu, dass das unmöglich geglaubte doch eintritt. Die alte Gang steckt noch einmal die Köpfe zusammen, breitet ihre Flügel aus um wie der Phoenix aus der Asche noch einmal das @turturclub zum leuchten zu bringen. Mit einem wundervollen Wohnzimmer Line-Up geht es dann am Samstag von 23:57 bis Sonntag Abend 22 Uhr in Begleitung bester Musik aus allen möglichen Bereichen zwischen Techno und Hause. Ich freue mich wie Bolle mit @le.fu zusammen ab 18 Uhr das Pre-Closing zu spielen. Vor mir freue ich mich riesig auf die Musik von @lovely_louwers um dann nach unserem Set das Closing von @klotz_von_blammo nochmal so richtig abzufeiern. Kommt lang, denkt daran dass das Turtur ein kleiner Laden ist, früh kommen würde ich jedem Menschen wärmstens ans Herz legen. Welcome to this new Italian talents duo from south Italy, @bazarcereremusic are bringing us back to some new Downtempo stories... Hāl is the first EP of the project Bazar Cerere, a musical adventure that took place in the south of Italy in the countryside of Paestum where the artists live. Sooo... ich spare mir mal das ganze danke für euren Support, 2023, was für ein Jahr bla bla...
