🌟 The set that unveiled my resilience! Ever feel like your mind plays tricks on you, whispering doubts about your capabilities? It’s a common experience, isn’t it? Well, on Saturday 20th, I decided to confront those whispers head-on and proved to myself that I was more capable than I ever imagined. Here’s how: 🎶 Adaptability: Embracing a last-minute decision to extend my set by an extra hour, pushing past the initial plan of four hours. 💪 Resistance and Resilience: Spontaneously spinning tunes for a full five hours, navigating a reduced playlist of mid to uptempo tracks. (bye bye my downtempo tracks for tonight) And amidst it all, witnessing the dance floor alive with energy, soaking in the joy of those who danced through the night! In the previous days , I’d already played two seven-hour sets, but with the freedom to pause at will (which, admittedly, I did not 😅). Life, it seems, had been preparing me for this exact moment at Matadero! Despite initial nerves about the relentless pace, I took the plunge, and guess what? I did it! 🌈 So, my point is : If there’s something in your life that feels beyond your reach, seize the opportunity to prove yourself wrong! We’re far more capable than we give ourselves credit for, and the empowerment that comes with pushing boundaries is unparalleled. The sense of joy and pride that follows is priceless! 🙏Huge thanks to my incredible friends from Baja who joined me, and to everyone who danced their hearts out till the very end.
