Not only am I a certified wedding & event planning professional, I am also a: daughter, granddaughter, sister, auntie, wife, bestie and furmama. I grew up in the Grand Rapids area with my parents and 2 brothers and we attended Comstock Park. I met my husband in 2017 and we have been building our adult life together ever since. I became a dog mama for the first time in 2019, and again in 2020–but sadly I had to let go of my rottie, King in 2022 and allow him to cross the rainbow bridge. Last year we adopted another Staffy girl and now we have our 2 dogs to make our little family complete again, Ivy & Nyx. Next to being a furmom, being Auntie Manda is by far my best gig. My brother blessed me in 2015 with my first niece, then my bestie did it again in 2021 and 2023. My husband Nathan and I spend our days pretty routinely these days, but we love a new restaurant, a good weekend road trip and our yearly national park vacations with the dogs in tow. Although I am stoked to start connecting with you all and assisting you with your parties, weddings & special occasions, I am not here to strictly be a wedding & event planner that brings promos and some useful resources to my page. I have also made it my mission to bring awareness to some of the “stigmas” around wedding & party traditions that have latched on over the years on top of all the cultural & spiritual traditions there are to begin with. I want to talk about things that might be uncomfortable or considered emotional, because the world we live in simply does not allow us to live the same way we did even 10 years ago–so why pretend like we do by forcing old trends & traditions onto party people or newly engaged couple as if the wedding industry is the exception to what hasn't changed in society?
