This weekend I volunteered to bake for my weekly meeting group’s summer fundraiser. We had a chili cookoff. You bought a plate of lunch from a TON of food, including chicken, ribs, brisket, pulled pork and all the sides. Then we had a tables of desserts that went with your lunch or you BUY some of my desserts donated to the cause. Most of mine sold. Huge congratulations to George & Helen, who married on the 23rd March at the beautiful Cider Mill Barns 🧡🥂🧡. This is my take on a Spiderman (Harry's choice) and The Worst Witch (Amelia's choice) themed Cake. My place smells like Heaven with carbohydrates! I had a request for a Banana Bread. I made some 🎵Banananana (Nut) Bread 🦇 🍌 🥜 🥖 . This is an old famous Hawaiian recipe (adapted~sdh). It calls for macadamia nuts but in Texas we use PECANS (not pee-cans). First use RIPE bananas. Mash them then add your sugar. Blend that together to watch the sugar act as an abrasive. It draws out the moisture & banana oil. Then you have baby food! Add your oil, then your eggs. *If pouring eggs into a mixture, pour into a clear cup. That way you can see if there are any egg shells. Next add @nielsenmassey vanilla, & toasted pecans. Toasting brings out the flavor. Pour into prepared pans & bake! This recipe makes a 2 lb+(1300+ g) loaf! Yumm on its own but think about Banana Bread French Toast!
