When I was about the Empress's age, I had to learn to sew when a teddy bear I had had since birth got a rip, and I was determined to be the one to fix him. As a badge of his recovery, I gave the bear an "earring." It warmed my heart when the Empress begged me to make sure I did the same for her new plushie when she asked that I fix a couple broken seams. I put on my scrubs and went to the hospital yesterday. My Mona had her hand operated on - carpel tunnel. I was ready to help with surgery if they needed me. Then after we got home Dr bear stopped by to make a house call. He asked me to help do a check-up on one of his patients and we made sure Mona's hand was ok. Everyone here is doing good! Every old stuffed toy our dog gets, she greets as if it's her new best friend. She's easy on them, except for these horrid plastic eyes and noses, she tries to bite them off. I'm a bit terrified she'll swallow them... so I get them out as soon as I can. That results in eyeless monsters, so I'm practicing for #teddybeardoctor by applying old #fabricscraps and then there's a good exercise in #embroidery when sewing eyes and a nose on. Trying my best!
