Last night I had a fab evening in #hull watching Matthew Bourne's "Edward Scissorhands" for the fourth time and wow, what a performance, it just keeps getting better! 🌟 Traveled all the way to Hull for the first time, and I’m so glad I did. The city is full of the friendliest people. The atmosphere at the theatre was amazing, especially with Liam Mower's hometown crowd in full force to support him. @liammower 's talent is simply breathtaking - his ability to convey deep emotions with such finesse in his facial expressions and dance moves is truly unparalleled. No wonder he's nominated for a #nationaldanceaward! A massive shout out to the staff @hulltheatres for rescuing my glasses - absolute stars! Thanks for saving my drive back to Newcastle! 🤓 And a fun mention to the lovely ladies behind me who kept the laughs rolling during the breaks photo bombing me; you really made my night. Also spotted a familiar name at the theatre - turns out my company funds the school next door! Small world when you're parking your car 😂 Special thanks to @happymamitomotani3 and @dommynorth for letting me snag that last-minute selfie even during the busy pack-up. It's bold, modern and feminine. It's perfect for making a statement. Found this book, "Manolo's New Shoes," that I got around 14 years ago. I met him in person and got his signature, which was a huge honor. Shaking hands with this amazing designer was incredible. Looking through his drawings again after so many years, they still are astonishing and timeless. This production of MACBETH will use binaural technology to create a 3D sound world, which the audience will experience through wearing headphones, placing them right inside the head of the central couple. Director Max Webster collaborates with sound designer Gareth Fry, who previously used binaural sound for Complicité’s multi-award-winning production The Encounter. Live music will come from an onstage Scottish folk band lead by Alasdair Macrae and featuring award-winning Gaelic singer Kathleen MacInnes.
