I am very excited to announce that “The Adam Error” has been accepted for a five night run in June at the wonderful White Bear Theatre in Kennington. A lot of work has gone into the writing and editing of this script and this week we’ve confirmed our talented cast! Tickets are on sale now (link in bio) and it would mean a lot to all of us to see you there. We’ll be putting a lot of work into the next couple of months to bring you theatre that is original, relevant and close to my heart. We need your help - theatre is a tough business and it’s been a challenge raising money to make sure our actors are all paid a decent fee for their work. When flying solo, it dances with the wind and doesn’t fight the natural law of the breeze. And in the flock the creature moves as one swarm and creates its own current. The bird doesn’t force its beak through a fierce gust nor does it become impatient. It just is. If I were a bird, peace from the sky would look the same as peace on the ground. Though it’s easy to do, we’re not here for easy; we’re here for overcoming what feels hard because you 👏 are 👏 capable. Be careful not to fall into the common trap of sharing too much or too little. A pitch isn't the place to share where your idea came from or to spill every detail like you're reading off the back cover blurb. 👉🏼Remember: your goal is to pique interest, not satisfy curiosity. It's been a two-show week, both based on real people. 'Machinal' at @oldvictheatre is a play written in the 1920s by Sophie Treadwell based on notorious murderer Ruth Snyder. It's a striking & physical production, and a great example of how an ensemble can work together to tell a story. 'Three Queens' at baronscourtw14 is a behind the scenes look at the power struggle between Queen Mary & Lady Jane Grey, as well as a young Elizabeth. It's an interesting period of history that is seeped in intrigue & the story is nicely told by the writer Rosamund Gravelle.
