"I don't think it's a coincidence that this year, because of Holy Week, the feast of the Annunciation is now on the same day as the solar eclipse. It is interesting since we refer to God as the Sun ☀️ and Mama Mary as the moon 🌙. In my perspective, at least symbolically, she'll be standing in front of our Lord as we celebrate the Annunciation and her fiat. During the phase of totality, the only visible sign of the sun is the corona (the Latin word for crown)👑. The eclipse will be such a visible representation that we are better able to see the reign and sovereignty of God through Mary. Scientists are saying that the activity in the corona will be at its peak during the eclipse. I'm just in awe that we are able to experience this remarkable show of power as God reminds us that we are His. How many millions of people will be drawn to view God because Mary is guiding them to see Him? And during the Eucharistic Revival no less!!
