Today I turn 40. Five years ago I dreaded this day as I have for many of my birthdays. At 25 I knew I wasnโt where I wanted to be with my life and swore to myself I would be healthy and fit by 30. At 30 when I hadnโt achieved what I told myself I would, I said to myself donโt worry you will do this by the time your 35. At 35 I was so ashamed I didnโt want to lie to myself that anything would change by 40. On the eve of my 38th birthday I remember being so unhappy and dissatisfied with myself that I decided to wake up and go jogging early before anyone could see me and my journey began. And today I can proudly acknowledge Iโve accomplished what I said I would and more, knowing Iโm just getting started. Donโt ever give up and yourself. You deserve it. I have learned in my 40 years on this Earth (I LOVE saying that number now hehe) that whatever I do, I must make sure I am doing it for me because there will always be people in the background judging and criticizing your every move! This use to tear me down! To have someone reach out just to tell you what youโre doing wrong or Judge your every move! Criticize you or pick a part everything you say or do. They are out there and most of the time they are close, family or someone that you know very well. Here is my best advice for you if you find yourself around one of these just nasty people, DONT TAKE IT PERSONAL! Their judgement says more about them then it does about you! This 2 day little getaway my hubby took me on for my birthday was just amazing! I can not say enough about it!! I turned 40 while we were relaxing in a pool, cuddling in a hotel and resting away from it all! I did miss my extended family but there is something to say about it being just the 3 of us! Who else does a detox bath after being out of town? ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ Definitely me! I was just in a different city, bed, space, etc for 3 days! We are heavily impacted by the things we touch, the things we breath and the people we are around! Being in a hotel for 3 days is enough to give me the icks! Despite the fact that I took all my oils, diffuser, blanket and cleaned off all surfaces my daughter could reach! Haha yup Iโm THAT mom! So now that I am home, unpacked and hydrated (water is the first step in detoxing!), itโs time to get in a detox bath! My detox baths consist ofโฆ Hot water, epsom salt, baking soda, apple cider vinegar, lemon and purify essential oils (put into the epsom salt before putting it in the bath water) and last but not least my #plexus hydrate drink to make sure everything this water pulls out of me doesnโt dehydrate me!
