Travelling long and wide makes you part of a community you'd never imagine, makes you experience on your skin politics and history from the other side of the world. As a casual traveller in remote areas of Tibet I met this beautiful woman and was attracted by her jewelery, we did not have a common language back then but I ended up being offered one traditional handmade yak leather purse with a beautiful turquoise stone decoration. I took it and have it at my place in Bergamo. A few years later I was in India studying Tibetan language with the sole purpose to return to this special people speaking their own language and I ended up meeting one Lama in exile who was coming from the same village as this lady called Sonam. He ended up being the cousin of Sonam and he explained that Sonam's daughter also fleed the Chinese occupation of Tibet and was living in India as a refugee. I promised him on my next trip to Italy I would pick up the purse Sonam gave me so he could let her daughter in India have it. I certainly had all the intentions until the Chinese government decision of banning WeChat (the only app that was allowed to use in Tibet to communicate with the external world) was being banned outside of China. The cat lady who is actually a local guide made her way up to Acropolis just to feed cats out of her own good will and pass a few bottles of cat food which are enough for the cats for the week to the site keeper. During covidD she provided cat food too 🥹🤘 . I went to Saint Paul’s Anglican Church and bumped into a church friend whom I knew through youth camp. Once in while a few youths would meet up together with a pastor. Can’t remember when we last met, definitely a few years ago. Then we met in Athens, like what!? What a beautiful coincidence! Lagi - lagi liburan berwisata kuliner prasmanan khas buffet ini ("whattt!", maaf kurang paham) dan ternyata ibu sebelahku juga suka maem pete (di baca : pit?). Enak poll kalau sambil nyambel dadak plus nasi panas ("kok dinamain begitu? "), mungkin karena tuh sambal buat mendadak pakai ulekan yang konon di sebut hot stone karrrrna cabe itu hot (ow yeahhh?!). So pasti saya tidak minat bergabung dengan grup manapun untuk meriset sepintas pertanyaan pertama atau kedua pun selanjutnya (agak gimana begitu) jalan-jalan saja sudah senang banget (macam nonton 'sisterhood and travelling squarepants' untuk kelean ngerti kisah r*s* apapun itu tapi bukan rasa yang pernah ada ituloh ya!!!). Nyesel gantungannya gak dibawa, memang efek pulang liburan suka gitu sih padahal sampai rumah di laminating (apa lehhh depe bahasa). Tidak aneh pula bagiku karena punya teman dan sering bertemu dengan orang-orang yang seperti itu. Aku justru kagum mereka mampu melakukannya sendiri. Bepergian dan melakukan kegiatan bersama-sama memang menyenangkan. Seru, bisa becanda tawa, saling menjaga dan ada yang membantu saat ada kesulitan. Namun, melakukan semua itu sendiri juga tidak apa-apa. Bisa saja kita berkenalan dengan teman baru di perjalanan. Atau mendapat bantuan dari orang-orang baik saat kesulitan. Bahkan aku terkadang bergumam "kebaikan apa yang aku lakukan hingga dibalas dengan mendapat kebaikan yang melimpah dari orang lain?" Tidak perlu takut melakukan kegiatan sendiri. Life was comfortable... I was in a corporate role for boots head office, was married and a home owner at 27 years old. Then I suddenly lost my Dad - my hero. My outlook changed and I didn't want to just be comfortable and to just 'exist'. 💗 I wanted more and something that set my soul on fire. So, I quit my job, got divorced and went travelling... 🌎 It was whilst I was travelling that I found the inspiration to aspire to make bold decisions and this resulted in the birth of F2B Creative. Free to travel the world, free to make creative decisions and free to express my true self and calling without the red tape of the corporate world. I started off as a virtual assistant back in 2019 where I was able to work on creative projects as well as admin to build my customer base and get to grips with running my own business... who knew taxes would be so taxing on your soul? After working with several coaches, hiring team members and after many courses, I stepped into my super power- branding identity and design. Everyone knows with growth, comes growing pains. There has been burnout, there's been tears, there's been wrong clients and undercharging but I'm glad I went through this process as I found clarity in who I am, who I serve and what value I bring. Through these challenges and this development I am not only able to understand that business isn't always easy, but, I am also able to provide the best version of me for my clients! It feels good to back in the world of Insta because during this time I have been able to reflect on my business, work on my packages and most importantly myself and my mindset.
