Everglades - národní park v jižní části Floridy. Park je známý především díky rozsáhlým mokřadům a bažinám, ve kterých volně žijí aligátoři, krokodýli, ale i různí vodní ptáci. Turistickou atrakcí jsou tzv. airboats - vrtulové čluny. Jedná se o lodě, poháněné vrtulí, které bažinami a kanály jezdí rychlostí až 70 km/h. Park Everglades byl zřízen 6. prosince 1947 prezidentem Harry S. Trumanem a v současné době se rozkládá na ploše 610 684 hektarů. V roce 1979 byl zapsán na seznam světového dědictví. Airboat 🚤jsme samozřejmě vyzkoušeli a byl to zážitek. Asi 20 minut jsme jeli močálem, potkali asi 4 krokodýly (nebo aligátory). Pak nás pan “kapitán” vysadil na jednom ostrůvku, kde byly vybudované takové přístřešky spojené dřevěnými chodníčky. Bylo možné celý tento malý areál přímo v mokřadu projít a sledovat co všechno v bažině žije. Samozřejmě jsme tam narazili i na krokodýla. Pak jsem opět nastoupili na airboat a jeli dalších 20 minut zpátky. Celkem jsme viděli asi 6 nebo 7 krokodýlů🐊. #triptoflorida
Universal studios v Orlandu na Floridě. Park byl otevřeny už v roce 1990. V roce 1999 byla otevřená další část-Island of Adventures a poslední část, ve které jsou vodní atrakce, Volcano Bay, byla otevřená v roce 2017. My jsme navštívili park s atrakcemi - Island of Adventures. Je to park plný nejmodernějších atrakcí. Každá část parku má své atrakce v daném stylu. Je zde hodně tematických ostrovů, jako třeba Jurský park, Harry Potter, Neuvěřitelný Hulk, Super man, King kong a spousta dalších (i dětských). Před každou atrakci je tabulka s časem, který udává dobu, kterou budete čekat ve frontě, než se dostanete na řadu. Většinou je to 15-75 minut. Nejvíc se nám líbila atrakce VelociCoaster na ostrově Jurský park. Je to atrakce otevřená v roce 2021. Nejvyšší bod je ve výšce 47m, délka 1400m a maximální rychlost 113km/h. Atrakce měla 2 rychlostní starty, první z 0 na 80km/h za 2s a podruhé z 64 na 113km/h za 2,4s. Na to, že cela “cesta” trvala míň než 2 minuty, byl to super zážitek! Druhá atrakce, která opravdu stojí za to, je The Incredible Hulk Coaster na ostrově neuvěřitelného Hulka. Otevřená v roce 1999. Měří 1100m, nejvyšší bod je ve výšce 34m a maximální rychlost je 108km/h. Tady bylo taky jedno zrychlení, z 0 na 100km/h za 2s. #triptoflorida

Kennedy space center Je to jedno z deseti středisek spravovaných národní agenturou NASA, toto na Floridě je od prosince 1968 hlavním startovacím střediskem kosmických letů. Tento komplex rozhodně stojí za návštěvu. Jsou zde ikony vesmírných letů, jako je montážní budova raketoplánů a historický startovací komplex 39. Stáli jsme pod Saturnem V, největší raketou, která kdy vzlétla.
