🐶GUS Is Doing Great In His Foster Home!🐶 He has been the best houseguest! He learned the house rules very quickly and adjusted well. From the looks of it, he seems house trained and can hold through the night. He sleeps well in the crate, and easily goes to the crate with a treat! He is very treat motivated and takes them very, very gently from your hands. He knows sit, down, come back, and is working on stay. He is very trainable. GUS is one of the sweetest dogs we’ve met and he was a shelter favorite. Nobody is a stranger and he loves EVERYONE! His favorite thing to do is snuggle. He thinks he‘s a lap dog. He loves head massages, and gently nudges you for more. He loves to roll over for tummy rubs and lovingly gives you his paw. He is currently living with two dogs, one 25 pound male and a 10 pound female. He has gotten along with both. GUS is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Cold and weak, with hardly enough energy to let out a gentle meow for help, a four-week-old kitten was dying of something completely treatable. Bear had tapeworms. Foster's mom scooped Bear up, syringe-fed him a mixture of kitten formula, hot water, and high-calorie wet food, gave him supplemental fluids, and dewormed him. ★ Bear was taken home that night and nursed him back to health over the next several days. It didn't take long for Bear to feel better and regain his strength after receiving love and care in a foster home. He was quickly introduced to his foster sibling, kitten Panther, and the two of them grew close. Bear also loves his foster sibling cat, Shiloh, and always seems to want to sleep with him at night. We are devastated. Our Simon passed away suddenly this week. He had some health issues this year but we were blindsided by his passing. He was a part of our family for 14 years. We adopted him from the shelter when he was 2 - a master marketer who burrowed his way into our hearts. He greeted us at the door, demanded lap time, tolerated Halloween costumes and hand knit sweaters, and was loving in his own unique way. He was the Boss of the house and kept everyone in line. Hard to believe he is gone, but I know he is in a better place where he can spend all of his time stretched out in the sun, nibbling festuca, and dreaming of the time he backed a 60-pound pit bull into a corner. When Pumpkin does have that moral support, she is an energetic jumpy kitten ready to leap off things, dash around, and snatch feathers from midair to drag back to her lair. ☆ Of her litter, Pumpkin is also the most magnetic: she absolutely sticks to people, sitting on top of arms and legs, roaming and turning around when she feels like she's not getting enough attention. Oddly enough she isn't a fan of being picked up: if you grab her she'll squirm and writhe to escape, but then when she does she'll probably just walk back and sit on your hands anyway. ☆ When you leave the room, so will she, and Pumpkin will come and find you several times a day. Her sedative is her siblings: Pumpkin falls asleep almost immediately when one of the others shows up, curling into a heap on or around them and ideally also a human. Despite being the smallest of his litter Latte is often the one to venture out first to figure out where the humans went, chase a pipe cleaner, or investigate the sound of food. ★ He loves to play, especially when his siblings are around, and goes from energetic and enthusiastic to fast asleep in moments. He also has a very loud and solicitous purr. If you reach toward Latte he'll usually start purring long before you actually get there to start, and he'll keep vibrating until he's no longer worried you'll walk off. This helps out his siblings, too; when they hear Latte purring they'll usually demand attention too and curl up around him in a puddle. ★ This kitten would do best with kids or in a household where he'll always have someone to follow around when he gets lonely (which is all the time). As long as you'll pet him, he's thrilled to be picked up and carried around. ★ Latte has been neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, preventatively treated for fleas and worms, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. While she is a bit on the shy side, with some patience she warms up and really enjoys getting attention - head massages, ear scratches, belly rubs - she loves them all. She likes getting brushed, and with her beautiful coat, she should! Pancake is an excellent lounger for hanging out. She seems to prefer relaxing for movie or tv marathon versus actually running a marathon. She walks generally well on a leash. She'll pull a bit if she gets excited or wants to go back inside.
