On todays walk I was listening to a podcast which talked a bit about impostor syndrome. The interviewee was highly successful, had written a top cook book, has amassed a wealth of knowledge about her chosen field and has a huge following on social media - and yet she still struggles to acknowledge (to herself) that she is qualified to be in the arena! . However she also said that she may not be an expert, but she has amassed a lot of knowledge and skills which can help others. As humans we don’t live in isolation and perhaps there is a duty to share knowledge and (as she put it) if she can just be a bridge, to get someone’s interest piqued, to get them started, to show them a little part of the way….. then there will be others, with more knowledge, who can help them even further over that bridge! . This resonated with me! I have lots to learn before I can start my little business. Who am I to think I could do this? What do I know? . Well….
