This walking tour as part of the Speak Oot Festival accompanies a new illustrated map highlighting sites in Dundee associated with transatlantic and American slavery. Find out how slavery was central to much of Dundee’s economy and visit sites where previously enslaved people came to speak publicly about their experiences. Serving Platters | Sophia Lappe 2 day course £70 (£63 for members) Sunday 14&21/04 10AM-12PM During the class you’ll learn handbuilding and sculpting techniques whilst making some beautiful handmade serving platters. Once we make the base of the dishes, we will add decorative clay elements and paint them with coloured slip to make them pop. This is a relaxing class for any creative type including complete beginners! All materials, firing and tuition is included in the cost. Once you’ve made your platters our technicians will fire them and dip them in a transparent glaze, making them durable and ready to serve up your meals in style!
