Fly high dragonfly 🪰 Dollywood is well known for their collection of family coasters, but one of the most unique rides in their collection is Dragonflier, which opened in 2019 as the staple attraction of the park’s new Wildwood Grove area. 👢🦋🎢 @dollywood 🎢🦋👢 Facebook memories let me know it’s been FOUR YEARS since we went to Dollywood 🤯 @roisinofthenorth went a few weeks ago which reminded me I never shared the details of our visit on here so tonight’s the night! . Dollywood is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in the Great Smoky Mountains - Just outside of Gatlinburg - It is indeed @dollyparton ‘s theme park and it’s amazing! 🦋 As regular visitors to the Disney parks we weren’t sure what to expect and I’ll be honest our expectations weren’t that high but omg it was just as good if not better than Disney! The park is so well themed, is really clean and has a huge range of attractions on top of the fact there’s traditional smoky mountain activities and Dolly’s music and style at every turn! 🎶 We only spent a day there and managed to get most things done - My favourite ride was the Black Bear Trail where you got ride your very own bear 🐻 or the Dollywood Express 🚂 which takes you all round the park! Some of the coasters are seriously impressive (and very fast 😳) and they also have mini museums and information halls detailing Dolly and country music history 👢 1 day tickets start at $89 but it’s only $20 to add a second day and $30 to add a third if you were in the area for a while! We bought a photo package on the day which gave us access to all our ride photos and snaps from around the parks plus a print out 📸 . There’s also a water park, Dollywood's Splash Country, and two resorts on Dollywood property - We didn’t make it to the water park as it wasn’t open the day of our visit but I’d love to go back - it looks so fun! 💧To be honest it’s lucky we went 4 years ago and not now because my love for all things country has grown and I would be buying ALL the merch! This area of the Great Smoky Mountains is beautiful, we’ve been a couple of times and have always loved it - I’ve got some more memories from this area so I’ll do a ‘Postcards from’ post soon 💌 . 👗 The dress is very old Zara - at the time I bought it in the sale specifically for our visit to match all the blue butterfly theming! 🦋 👢

We returned back to Dollywood today to get some more rides on this orange and dark green steel beauty! During the first trip in May we only got one ride, but we were able to get four more rides today, which makes five total now. Big Bear Mountain is a REAL winner! It's butter smooth, very long and drawn out, has some amazing whippy and low-to-the-ground transitions and is easily one of the best family launched coasters out there! We had the most amazing day @dollywood! I’ve always wanted to check out Dollywood and I was SO IMPRESSED. We had a group of 16 people ranging from 3 months to 65 years old and there was something for EVERYONE to do. I created a highlight reel just to share what we’re up to at Dollywood and there is lots more coming up for me to share! Credit 92 goes to Big Bear Mountain! This is truly the perfect addition to the park and Wildwood Grove! They did such a great job with the que theming and onboard audio, and the ride is both tame yet fun that both families and thoosies can enjoy it! The waterfall was my favorite part of the ride. I do hope they fill in the open areas with some grass and trees eventually, and hoping they add a bear statue or even animatronic that you can briefly see during the ride one day.
