Matthew 15:32 NKJV [32] Now Jesus called His disciples to Himself and said, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way. Title: Jesus will never send us let us away hungry. Family yesterday we said our Jesus has compassion, as we are in fellowship with him, He notices our need and is moved with compassion. Today we're saying our Jesus will never send us away hungry. After He was moved with compassion Jesus said to his disciples " I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint/collapse on the way". The multitude was hungry, Jesus understood that if He were to send them away hungry they were going to be at risk of collapsing, So He gave them something to eat. A hungry person is a weak person, a weak person can't embark on a journey. Jesus has called us to a race of faith, which needs us strong. If we have any kind of hunger let us rest assured that our Jesus will provide food necessary to satisfy our hunger so we can be strong for the race ahead or else we might collapse on the way. As we fellowship with our Jesus, we will be satisfied, I'm not sure what is it that you're hungry for, But this morning I want to tell you that the Jesus you're in fellowship with will come through for you because He needs you strong for the race ahead. Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Topic: The 4 fundamental principles for spiritual growth Last, but not least, today we look at the fourth fundamental principle: Prayer. The importance of prayer in a believer's life cannot be more emphasized. Just as each day requires bread to eat, more importantly, each day requires its prayer. When we pray, we get more intimate with God, and we open a channel of communion with Him. There are many scriptures about prayer, and there are different kinds of prayer, but today let's focus on "persistence in prayer". In Luke 18v1-7 Jesus told a parable about a persistent widow. The purpose of the parable was to emphasize that men must pray always, and never give up. In the parable, we see the persistence of this woman, a persistence that drove the judge to grant her request. In 1 Thessalonians, the Bible tells us to never stop praying. James 5:16 says the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. In conclusion: Prayer aligns us with the will of God. God longs for us to speak to Him daily - He will never get tired of our prayers. One pastor says in his daily devotion: "For the Christian, prayer is not an option, but an opportunity. Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Topic: The 4 fundamental principles for spiritual growth. Today we look at the third fundamental principle: Holy Communion. Holy Communion, or The Lord's Supper, is a practice that Christians observe in remembrance of Christ's sacrifice - a sacrifice that brought our salvation, redemption and forgiveness of sins. This sacrifice also established an intimate and personal relationship with God. Matthew 26v26-28 and Luke 22v19-20: It is the body of Christ and it is His blood we partake into when we eat the bread and drink the wine. In 1 Corinthians 11v26, Apostle Paul states that when we eat the bread and drink the wine, we proclaim the Lord's death until He comes. Proclaiming Christ's death is proclaiming the ultimate victory over sin and rendering it powerless over us. It is also proclaiming the new covenant that is not based on works, but based on the finished work of Jesus Christ. In John 6v33-40, Jesus Christ declares that He IS the Bread of Life that has come from heaven. He says that whoever comes to Him will never be hungry, and whoever believes in Him will never be thirsty again. In conclusion: Jesus Christ is the ultimate sacrifice that came from heaven to save us, to redeem us, to render sin powerless, to heal us and to be a mediator between God and us. It is through Him that we get to have intimacy with God. We must always remember Him, and proclaim the sacrifice that He made. This is the Good News of our gospel. Today we will look into the first fundamental principle that the Scripture mentions: Doctrine The basic meaning of the term doctrine is "teaching" (origin: Latin "Doctina"). In 1 Timothy 4:16, Paul tells Timothy to watch his life and doctrine diligently, and to preserve them. In 1 Corinthians 1:21, Paul states that God will not be known by wordly wisdom, but rather by the preaching which looks foolish to the world. In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, doctrine is the first thing that is mentioned as one of the things that scripture in profitable for. Verse 17 mentions the reason for teaching scpriture. Lastly, in Psalm 19:7-8, David mentions how God's Laws, God's testimony, God's statutes and God's commandments are, and what they do to those who accept and believe in them. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights. (For the choir director: This prayer is to be accompanied by stringed instruments.)” !!Message!! Our circumstances should not dictate whether we should worship God or not. There are three things we learn from the verse quoted about; firstly, sometimes the harvest fails - things go wrong in life. Secondly, there will always be a reason to be thankful inspite of circumstances - find a reason to be thankful. Thirdly, the Lord elevates His children even in difficult times - He’s our forever help. Lastly, life must be lived by faith - we don’t know what tomorrow holds but we know who holds tomorrow. Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Theme : God’s love never fails 1 Corinthians 13:8 AMP “Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]. But as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for the gift of special knowledge, it will pass away.” Paul acknowledges the good that the prophecies, tongues and knowledge did to build up the church at that time. But he wanted to make the point that works of love had more lasting value for the world. The supernatural gifts given by God for the present will pass away when the eternal comes. Paul reminds us about the strength and power of God’s love, while offering us a challenge. He makes the case that while we can never love as fully as the Lord, we can learn to love more like Him. The closest we can come to God’s love is “agape,” which is defined as a selfless devotion to the good of others. And again, this is not something we can sustain, but must rely on God for. He will shape our hearts to love this way, and He will renew the desire when it starts to falter. God Almighty will not be moved when we throw in the towel, or even when we moan. But at His appointed time, He'll make all things beautiful in your life. Grumbling and complaining against God Almighty is the last thing we should think of. Job wouldn't dare complain and grumble against God. His frustrations would be diverted elsewhere. This kind of attitude whenever we are pressed does not make God happy at all. Because the Israelites grumbled all the time, those who grumbled missed entering the promised land, Canaan. You and I are no exception. Since God Almighty does not change, we ought to praise Him, even during the most severe difficulties. What are you in need of today? Good Morning Saints 🙌🙌🙌 Matthew 6:31-33 NLT 31 "So don't worry about these things, saying, 'What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?' 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. This is probably the number one solution to every challenge we face on daily basis. We wake up each morning to go to work and to our businesses. The only purpose is to make money to feed our families. But also, many more people live in lack, some in abject poverty, not knowing where money will come from to take care of their needs. But Jesus points out that when we worry about our daily struggles, as to what we will wear, eat or drink, we are no different from the unbelievers. All they think about is to acquire money to live comfortable lives. You and I, as believers, should behave differently. God Almighty already knows what we need. When a baby is born, he/she gets into the world without teeth for instance. But as the baby grows older, teeth will begin to grow. Because the Lord knows we will need to have teeth at some stage of our lives. It's comforting that the Lord knows what we need even before we ask Him. All that the Lord needs from us is to seek first His Kingdom and live righteously. DO NOT DO what the Lord is supposed to do. Our duty is to seek His Kingdom above all else and live righteously. His duty is to grant all that we need. Sadly, we want to acquire ourselves all that we want. And that is an incorrect procedure.
