Look at all the fashion items I have for my favorite roller coaster at Worlds of Fun: the Timber Wolf! The two T-shirts at the bottom (one being a neon graphic and another with the logo almost identical to the 2018 revamp logo) were bought from the park’s souvenir shops from my visit in June of last year, the red one with the logo based on the original 1989 logo was bought secondhand from a seller on eBay shortly before my visit that month, the black one that also has the logo based from the original 1989 logo was bought directly from Charlie Hustle’s website of fashion gear, and the faded black one with an orange-ish logo was bought secondhand from a seller on eBay about half a year ago and looks like it’s from the 90s when I was a kid then, and finally the Timber Wolf snapback mesh cap was bought secondhand from a seller on eBay a few weeks ago and appears to be one of the originals at the time and what materials they used to use then for caps. You know a park’s ride operations are something else when their big B&M has one of the slowest moving lines in the park 😂 Fun fact: I never rode Patriot this season despite visiting multiple times. 💀Ready for a spooky night?💀 We headed to worldsoffun on opening night of The Haunt last night. I honestly could believe how many shows, haunts, activities there were to experience! Check the worldsoffun website for Haunt tickets on select nights between now and October 28th. Here are my highlights a below 👇 🎃 We started at the Zombie Booffet in the Grand Pavillon, where you get tickets for dinner and an open bar. The food was really good, so many options. Bar had all the spooky cocktails beers. This is from 5-6pm right before The Haunt begins. 🎃 The shows were incredible. The costumes, makeup, lighting were beautiful! The dancers and actors did such a great job. There’s a different show going on almost all night! 🎃 The Haunts were so cool! My favorite had to be the scarecrow haunt in the woods with tons of cornstalk and the pumpkin haunt in the woods (near the mamba) So fun! You have to go to these two! 🎃 Rides were open and we had lots of fun going to our classic roller coasters. The place has so much Halloween spooky decor. It was SO much fun at night with the smoke and all the lights. Tons of fun, I truly enjoyed myself and wish that night was longer! For the 2nd straight year, the closest football team to me is in the super bowl, and while I’m not watching it since football isn’t my thing, I hope that the Chiefs beat the 49ers. In hopes of that, I’m posting a photo of Mamba from outside the park. The funny thing is, I posted another shot of Mamba from outside the park last year on the day of the super bowl, and the Chiefs ended up winning, so let’s see if this shot of Mamba’s first drop gives them good luck. I will say that this shot in particular is not in a restricted area, as before I went outside the park during Haunt of 2022, I talked with a security officer for help figuring out where the restricted area begins, and he said this vantage point was not part of it, even though it looks like it is. Here we have Patriot, the redheaded stepchild of the B&M Invert family. This new-for-2006 attraction takes it riders for a 3000ft long flight through four inversions, some uncharacteristic airtime hills, and a 149ft tall lift hill. I also think the ride looks nice with it's blue supports and red-and-white track. Is it a fun ride? I would say yes, it is a solid ride at the park, but does it compare to the other inverts I've ridden? Unfortunately no, I would easily say this is my least favorite of the 6 B&M Inverts I've ridden thus far. Why? Well, despite throwing in some nice floater airtime moments, Patriot behaves more like a B&M Wing coaster than an Invert, but lacking the near-misses and wing seating. It takes it's elements gracefully and pull hardly any forces, not bad by any means but I prefer my Inverts with more power. 🎃 Calling all families! The Great Pumkin Fest! 🎃 We headed to worldsoffun this past weekend to celebrate fall with my kiddo! They honestly had everything fall fest in one spot adult fun as well. Here are my highlights below 👇 🎃 Rides had little to no wait for the kids! Which was great because kiddos like to move quick. Lots of shade in and out of the park in case you go on a hot day. 🎃 We took an AC break in the snoopy performance area, where there was coloring, craft activists, and snoopy did a costume contest and parade. It’s a great place to get a snack and cool off. 🎃 We took our kiddo through the corn maze and hay bail pumpkin maze. In the middle you can pick out a pumpkin to take home! 🎃 Petting zoo had goats, cows, donkey, llamas, and more. You can pet and feed the animals inside the petting zoo near all the kid friendly rides. 🎃 We ended our day back at the zombie Boo-ffet for dinner. The Orient Express coaster opened in 1980 at Worlds of Fun. It featured over 3,400 feet of track and a first drop of 115 feet. Much like the Loch Ness Monster it featured interlocking loops, as the poorly named “Kamikaze Kurve”, which was the Batwing. “The coaster was designed to fit in the park’s topography. Ron Toomer said, “The Orient Express was designed to correspond with the existing ground layout, preserving as many tress and natural features as possible. When Worlds of Fun announced the Orient Express in 1979 a lot of people were surprised that a regional theme park would buy such a large coaster. But, after seeing the success at parks like Great America and Busch Gardens it was hard to deny that it was a sound investment choice. Durak 2: Kansas City 🇺🇸 Debra’nın yanına gittiğimde, onboarding için geç kalmıştım. Ertesi sabah gelebileceğimi söyledi, ben de parktan otele dönmek için tekrar servise bindim. Serviste 2 Türk arkadaşla karşılaştım, aynı otelde kalıyorduk ve onlar da benim gibi food service olarak çalışıyorlardı. Odaya geldiğimde yorgunluktan ve jetlag’ten olsa gerek hemen uyuyakalmışım ve gece oda arkadaşım gelmiş, kapıyı kilitlediğim için resepsiyona söylemek zorunda kalmış :)) Sabah uyandığımda yatağımın karşısındaki kanepede yatıyordu, uyandığında tanıştık ve o da Türk’tü. Sabah oda arkadaşımla beraber onboarding için parka gittik. Onboarding’te size verilen formları tablet üzerinden dolduruyorsunuz (bizim parkta bu şekildeydi) ve size training gününüzü söylüyorlar. O tarihte eğitim için geliyorsunuz. Ayrıca park çalışanı olduğumuz için parktaki ride’lara ücretsiz binebiliyorduk.
