This animation was part of my animated flags project, (which i definetly need to continue by the way), where i changed (as always) the main flag colors and applied my color palette. I’m really into pink this last period and i really enjoy using it a lot. We always need to remember we can't succeed perfectly in everything we do. And i can say this is my personal demonstration on what i'm saying. We are already very close to the end of another year and, as we are used to, we sum up the pros and cons about our archivements, our goals, our failures, our loss. As i can see, in this case, i've made no special progress on logos and how to animate them. This is a great consideration, talking to me, because only few years ago, i was literally obsesed by making the perfect logo animation, reaching new techniques, styles, movements. But as we change, things around us changes as well, and by consequence, our abilities and interests. I can confidentially say, i'm not into logo design and logo animation anymore, at least for now. And that's great, i've set boundaries on this and i feel okay, i know i've grown up a lot and i'm doing what i like most, i couldn't be much happier than this. I'm always grateful for what design brought me into my life, to learn new skills and to lose interests in others. Finally able to share with you guys a super detailed project i realized in collaboration with RFVisuals Studio for now.kr , a korean livestream app. In this one i illustrated and animated all the scenes except for the 3D phones in the end. It was amazing to bring my creativeness and my vision inside this project. Every detail matters, so i enriched the designs as much as possible and animate all the single pieces of it. I want to say a big thanks to Rui, founder of RFVisuals, which assisted me during all the process and pushed me to think outside the box. Unfortunately you will not be able to see this animation anywhere else because the project got canceled during work in progress. I thought there was something missing when i realized the first version of this animation, something that probably would not can reach my audience and people who follow me. I’ve tried many time re-posting my last video of this quote but nothing seems to change, and i really wanted to make people see this quote. I thought it was because it was a reel, i thought it was the time i’ve posted who doesn’t work, but the i’ve just figured out it wasn’t me that guy who have posted these latests versions of this post. Musubi Kombu 🎀 - kombu - oil for deep-frying Choose a pliable piece of kombu and wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Cut it into ½” x4” strips. Tie each piece with a knot in the center (see illustration) and deep-fry them in hot oil until crisp. This happens quickly, so be careful not to burn it. Musubi means “made by bringing yin and yang together.” For example, a rice ball is omusubi because of the way you press your hands, one yin and one yang, together to shape the ball. In this dish it refers to the way the kombu is tied. Kombu is used at festive occasions because ‘Kombu’ is a similar sound to ‘yorokobu, which means ‘gladness.’ So you see, this is an appropriate dish to serve at a wedding. If you are one of the most curious followers on my instagram page (which i honestly doubt there are so many ahaha), you would probably recognize this work i’ve shared on my stories and you can also reach on the highlights “Clients”. Basically this was a client commission, which i realized with other fantastic folks around the world. This was also my very first time directing the creative side of a consistent project. So glad about how it turned in the end but i knew i could do much more than this and honestly the colors the client choose were very very boring, also the song they have chosen and the VO as well… if you will check that you will notice instantly the difference of what i’m talking. @elireedmagnum has been documenting the multiplicity of Black experience in the United States since he started taking photographs, forging a reputation for unflinching coverage of events both large and small. During Run-DMC’s 45-city Raising Hell tour in 1986, Reed photographed Jam Master Jay playing chess on the bus with DJ Hurricane, bodyguard for the group and DJ for the Beastie Boys. The photo appears in Reed’s photobook Black in America, published in 2000.
