Processes include etching, intaglio, relief, screen printing and mono printing used both traditionally but also to create printed mixed media pieces. I am interested in these techniques for their mark making qualities rather than their ability to make multiples so much of the work is unique or only available in small hand printed editions. Finally able to share with you guys a super detailed project i realized in collaboration with RFVisuals Studio for now.kr , a korean livestream app. In this one i illustrated and animated all the scenes except for the 3D phones in the end. It was amazing to bring my creativeness and my vision inside this project. Every detail matters, so i enriched the designs as much as possible and animate all the single pieces of it. I want to say a big thanks to Rui, founder of RFVisuals, which assisted me during all the process and pushed me to think outside the box. Unfortunately you will not be able to see this animation anywhere else because the project got canceled during work in progress. The poster series for the Game Night was born during the Corona period. Social isolation somehow led me to miss my friends very much so i took more time to play with my buddies. These virtual meetings have become very important to me, and from this motivation, I decided to continuously lure / remind / reward my friends with a fine invitation poster. FRENZY • Salty Brown Pelicans fishing for their evening meal as the storm settles in. There are 3 Brown Pelicans, Sea Mullet, 2 Northern Pufferfish and a lot of bubbles in this print. I wanted this dark, stormy and very much a sea inspired theme. I love watching Brown Pelicans dive for their meal. Especially when they follow the boats back home. It’s almost like you’re flying with them. It’s fascinating and I encourage you to check them out if you have them in your area. Print’s not dead 😵 As a team of old-school magazine writers, we recently had the pleasure of going back to our roots at a print-making masterclass hosted by @MagCulture. Alongside sharpening our print skills, the workshop served as a reminder of the power of print, for building a community, creating validity and authority, and crafting tactile experiences. Unlike landfill online content, print doesn’t compete with endless tabs and distractions. It allows for precise audience targeting. And there’s a nostalgic appeal too, with Gen Z showing a growing appreciation for collectible items. You only have to look at the rise of #BookTok to know that offline experiences are becoming non-negotiable for a generation that grew up swiping iPads. And in the content race to keep people glued to devices that are gamed to shorten their attention spans, print provides a lasting physical connection that digital can’t replicate, enhancing reader engagement. So, if you know TikTok is not where your audience is playing or community-building incentives are high on your priorities, creating your own brand magazine could be a smart content and growth strategy.
