Just checked out “ The Dead Don’t Die “ from @universalpictures
Definitely has to be the most know names to come together in a zombie film. :
While not the most action or comedy in the genre, definitely not a Zombieland or Shaun of the Dead, I still enjoyed this one. It definitely has a very dry sense of humor which I enjoy as much as slapstick, raunchy and other comedies. Everyone in this film remains extremely calm given the situation. :
Without giving everything away in the movie I’ll say it was definitely a different way of bringing the dead back and when killing the zombies it was something I hadn’t seen before as well. Definitely not for everyone, but the acting was solid all around and loved the score to this, the theme song got a little annoying as Bill Murray’s character would agree towards the end. Also loved the few tongue in cheek moments provided by Adam Drivers character and the narrative from Tom Waits as Hermit Bob. :
All in all definitely worth a watch if you wanna get away from a typical zombie film.
