I know it’s perhaps much easier said than done, but life is easier if we can put a positive spin on things.
I think speaking in more positive, encouraging and appreciative ways is so very important!

It’s especially hard to do when you are the parent and you are needing to very much motivate them, because certain things are required (by us) from them.
However, it also bears remembering that making good memories for them, better mental health, and steering them in a better direction, matters too.
I believe in striving for more positive outcomes for all of us.
I know how it can seem so impossibly hard sometimes too.
Plus, I make plenty of mistakes myself; I myself am guilty of saying “calm down” - it never really works for anyone does it?!!! I must try to do better too! 😊💙
