Quem ainda assiste filme que não começa pelo final? Filme: AMSTERDAM (Amazon, 2022) Chato! foi a minha sensação por boa parte do filme (como a maioria dos comentários sobre o filme) até me afetar, e de repente comecei a refletir sobre essa pressa por informações que estamos acostumados, ou viciados... quem ainda sabe assistir um filme acompanhando sua trajetória, cena a cena sem que elas tenham que ser muita coisa? quem ainda sabe assistir filme que não começa pelo final num ritmo frenético pra que a gente já avalie se vale a pena acompanhar a história que lhe acomete? o autor, David Russell, acusado últimamente de tedioso nas narrativas, me pegou justamente aí seja pelo compasso do filme onde tudo está acontecendo e ao mesmo tempo nada, trazendo sem tanta pressa cenas como peças soltas de um quebra cabeça sem sentido, onde só acompanhando uma a uma entende-se de repente a imagem no final seja nas mensagens do roteiro estruturando a narrativa inteira, onde questionar-se pra que serve a vida e como se viver é também política esse ritimo nos conduz à essas pequenas mensagens, como : "o amor real é uma questão de escolha, não necessidade, precisa da sua esposa ou escolhe estar com ela?" ou "algumas pessoas com influência e poder gostam quando pessoas normais são consumidas pelo ódio porque isso nos distrai da bondade e da justiça, não querem que pensemos muito a respeito, assim eles conseguem mais e mais da vasta fortuna que tem" ou ainda "arte e amor é o que faz a vida valer a pena" essa fusão conduzida entre o cômico e o bizarro, quando assassinatos aparecem corriqueiros, supérfluos e até meio ridículos, e momentos em que danças bobas ou palavras melancolicas são dramatizadas com enfaze... Pra mim se mostrou como um propósito bem amarrado e consciente de fazer com que nós, que vemos assassinatos reais como corriqueiros e supérfluos e choramos quando nosso personagem fictício de uma série morre, pensemos sobre o tempo a grande questão política, filosófica ou singular do filme parece ser o tempo... quem ainda se preocupa com justiça, bondade, arte, amor... tem tempo, está com tempo, precisa parar pra ver... tempo é poesia mas também é política

🎥 Movie and wine night at FC Hyena: Yesterday we watched the preview of the film “All of us strangers”. Besides recommending the movie, I can’t stress this enough: FC Hyena in Amsterdam-Noord is the best place for wine lovers for a movie night. 🍷 You can enjoy a great selection of films choosing from an extensive list of wines by the glass which changes regularly. You can also combine the movie night with dinner at their restaurant. We ended up with an old vine Cabernet Franc from the Loire (not pictured in the photo of the wine bottles as the barman was pouring my wine at that moment!) and a beer from Utrecht. One of the most well-written and directed films I've had the pleasure of watching! If you went in blind, like moi: It started off innocently enough... One would think, just your typical sweet "Buddy Movie", that turned into a "Whodunnit". And you'd think that the most jarring part about the entire thing was that a wild Taylor Swift appeared, and she was the one who pushed the plot into action--I wasn't ready for it 😅💀. But then, Mike Myers showed-up, who I could never take seriously and think he's still just playing Austin Powers, playing another character 🐦; and then Chris Rock was presenting on stage, and you're just waiting if somebody's gonna get slapped; but most of all, I think them casting Rami Malek and Anya Taylor-Joy as husband and wife was just so hilariously naughty (was Rami in between filming Bohemian Rhapsody? Cause...🤭🐴) 👁👄👁 👁🦷👁 All of this to show that, it all started out SO chaotic (but in the best, well-written way possible--the narration really worked too)...BUT, by the end of the film (still chaotic though), and like how the main characters realised that the plot was much bigger than them, that I, at one point in Robert De Niro's moving speech, got quite emotional.
