Today let's talk about Christopher Nolan's action scenes. As you may know I'm a big action guy. I love high testosterone fueled action 😉 I watch it regularly and have a lot fun with my girl 😂 Somehow I'm not to crazy big about Nolan's action scenes and really keep raving about them, I actually don't crave action from a filmmaker who has earned a reputation as a director of intelligent, original blockbusters, but his best action scenes deliver spectacular thrills, I must say. It may be hard to imagine now, but when Christopher Nolan first signed on to reinvent Batman for the big screen, he wasn't exactly known for his eye for action. Before the twisty and imaginative action in 2010's "Inception" or the sometimes confusing reverse action in "Tenet," Nolan had only been known for three smaller-scale films. "Following" "Memento" and "Insomnia" had their own style that didn't scream superhero blockbuster material. Still, the three films were enough to get Nolan the job of adapting one of the most popular superheroes of all time and later going even more audacious and bigger by creating some of the most epic, ambitious, highly complex, intelligent and landmark sc-fi blockbusters of the 21st century. In fact I want his next movie to be an original, with an absolutely nonresident concept at the center like always over an action movie any day. From a filmmaker like Nolan I don't demand much action. Christopher Nolan's best movies include action-heavy thrillers such as The Dark Knight and Inception, but not all of his movies showcase his talent for explosive action set pieces. Oppenheimer and The Prestige, for example, prove that Nolan can craft gripping stories without many action scenes. As the world's foremost director of intelligent grand-scale epics, Nolan is capable of delivering some remarkable action scenes, even if they aren't necessarily his main focus. CONTINUED BELOW

Christopher Nolan is absolutely peerless when it comes to entertainment, mind-bending sci and film noir. And I'm talking about smart entertainment here, entertainment is usually perceived as being dumb, for the lazy, the aimless, passionless people who only like wasting their time. This is an industry that doesn't get a lot of respect, thanks to the people who have been doing a lot of stupid things in it. For a lot of dumb silly movies people have been making for decades you know. And this has always been a stereotypical topic. Entertainment doesn't mean you're free to do any shit like continuously churning out stupid mindless movies or propaganda movies that suit your political preferences and ideologies that polarise and brainwash people and getaway with it, similar to free speech, you can't say anything and getaway with it. You have to be responsible in what you're saying and how you entertain people. Because what you say or show comes with a cost. Sure there have been some really intelligent, thought provoking movies even before Nolan bursted onto the scene. But Nolan took it to another level, he transitioned the art form into a more academic sphere and made it more widespread for a mainstream audience. He's also responsible for ushering in a lot of debate and discussion on topics and concepts amongst film Institutes and ordinary fans alike sparking countless theories and ideas based on his screenwriting techniques that's gone on to define 21st century filmmaking. A much needed upgrade to my Christopher Nolan collection, needed these 4K discs ASAP. For me Interstellar is a standout movie from this much needed 4K collection and here's why: It's an audacious masterpiece from Nolan depicting near-unattainable concepts like wormholes, relativity, and five-dimensional thinking with consummate skill. These words were spoken after history's first atomic bomb was detonated — during the "Trinity" test near Los Alamos. Some believe that Oppenheimer's quote is a revelation of his internal pride -- "Look at the achievement I have created!" Some perhaps sense a more sophisticated spirit of sobriety mixed with a dash of megalomania -- much like those who decide with difficulty that they will choose who gets to live and who gets to die. And yet some others sense a deep brokenness and the bubbling of the edges that could later bloom into guilt and remorse -- with a desire for internal destruction. I think the secret to understanding Oppenheimer's internal workings comes from a sober exploration of what Oppenheimer meant when he said that -- and what spirit it was said in. In some ways, it was perhaps Oppenheimer's last great historical moment, in the denouement of the release of the deadliest technology man had ever possessed. The evolutionary psyche, rooted in tribal dynamics, often ostracizes members who challenge the status quo. Oppenheimer's case is emblematic of this. Ties with Communist members, his disagreement with nuclear advancements during the Cold War, and public altercations like the one with Strauss made him a vulnerable target. In a primal tribe, someone challenging the chief's views might be exiled or sidelined, similarly to Oppenheimer's sidelining after his security clearance revocation. But I also believe that Oppenheimer's softness and sensitivity can be better grasped by looking at the years following the Manhattan Project, his slow descent into guilt, and the trials and traps of severe introspection. In order to grasp the state of Oppenheimer's spirit during the Trinity test, we must go deep, and far, into the man's life and into the dark and illuminated recesses of one of history's most complicated characters. Didn't Want to Become 'a Superhero Movie Director,' says Brother Jonathan Nolan Christopher Nolan revolutionized the superhero genre with 2008's The Dark Knight. Nolan's expertise in genre filmmaking and his ability to construct elaborate set pieces made him a perfect fit for the Batman franchise. However, it almost never happened as Nolan originally did not plan to make The Dark Knight. Batman Begins could have easily become a one-and-done if Christopher Nolan's brother Jonathan hadn't pushed for a sequel. The latter also revealed the director had a good reason to pass on The Dark Knight. "Chris was on the fence about making [a sequel]," Jonathan confirmed, which partly explains why Christopher Nolan took on The Prestige as his next project; Jonathan said that his brother didn't want to be pigeonholed into a film niche. "He didn't want to become a superhero movie director," he confirmed. It's possible Christopher would have been more opposed to a sequel if the Marvel Cinematic Universe already existed then, but the MCU's first film Iron Man premiered only a few months before The Dark Knight in 2008. Jonathan recalled he had to push his brother hard to helm another Batman installment. He added, "To me, it was like we built this amazing sports car, and I'm like, 'Let's take it for a drive. Don't you want to make another one?'" Shifting Genres After Batman Begins Jonathan said the turning point was the decision to shift the sequel into a different genre. The action-adventure and superhero tropes of Batman Begins were scrapped in favor of a gritty crime drama narrative. "We spent an hour telling the origin story, and that's great, but it's like, 'what [more] can we do with this?'" Jonathan recalled saying to Chris. "Can we take the same characters and shift ever so slightly into a different genre? Can we go from an adventure film to a crime film, to a mob movie, and bring that feeling into it?" Why Did The US Agencies & NSA Snoop On Oppenheimer An Important Detail That Provides A Deeper Explanation Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer was an incredibly faithful adaptation of real-world events, but one detail that many viewers missed showed the lengths the United States government went to in order to spy on Robert. Oppenheimer follows the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, one of the scientists responsible for building the atomic bomb used in World War II. While the building of the bomb is heavily featured in the movie, even though Oppenheimer didn't depict Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it also spends considerable time detailing how the U.S. government interacted with Robert and the fallout from his involvement in the Manhattan Project. The government never fully trusted Robert throughout the movie, a fact that became clear during the security hearing. Robert was overcome by guilt at his contributions to the atomic bomb by the ending of Oppenheimer, and he began advocating against the nuclear arms race of the Cold War. The U.S. government then wanted to stop him from being able to influence nuclear policy, and they used recordings of conversations Robert had in the past against him. Oppenheimer's timeline and chronological events weren't exactly clear, and how and why the government had those recordings wasn't fully explored, but a genius detail in Oppenheimer hinted at an explanation. Some of the biggest examples of the government's spying took place in Lyall Johnson's office, and a subtle difference in the office indicated that Boris Pash had replaced the desk lamp and planted a listening device in the new lamp as pointed out on Reddit. Recordings from that office were one of the main pieces of evidence used against Robert during the security hearings in Oppenheimer. Robert was surprised when the recordings were brought in as evidence, and the subtle lamp change shows why he didn't catch the government's spying. Christopher Nolan thinks The Dark Knight Rises is an underrated film in his filmography: "I don't have a favorite of any of my films, but I think The Dark Knight Rises is an underrated movie. It came at a time when superhero movies were mostly a lighthearted affair that failed to connect with most critics. It redefined the genre and approached the subject matter in a more realistic approach. It elevated the superhero movie into the dark and gritty territory we all know, something that still prevails to this day. It set a reputation and a precedent that "The Dark Knight Rises" sequel would have a hard time to live up to. Thanks to an insurmountable amount of hype, "Rises" may have failed to live up to the expectations of some fans. But I believe that the movie not only lived up to its predecessor, it also managed to surpass it as a better "Batman" film. First let me talk about the interpretation of the real-world scenario To me, the first thing that comes to my mind when I think about "The Dark Knight Rises" is "If you're not doing epic shit, you're wasting your time" People forget that TDKR is the most ambitious superhero movie ever made. "The Dark Knight Rises" worked because it hit quite close to home. At a time when the divide between the rich and the middle-class was a main source of political and social conflict, Christopher Nolan incorporated that divide into his movie. As a millionaire, Bruce Wayne was living large until he lost his assets and a seat on the board of his company. Why am I so fascinated with Christopher Nolan's latest rumoured movie? Nolan considers making a horror movie, but The Prisoner movie could be his riskiest venture yet. Fresh off winning seven Academy Awards for the towering historical epic Oppenheimer -- including Best Picture and Best Director -- Christopher Nolan is setting his sights on his next cinematic project. In February 2024, Nolan expressed interest in potentially making a horror movie in the future, telling the BFI that it is extremely difficult to find an original horror tale and that he is still seeking one worthy of adapting. As Nolan continues his search, the door has seemingly opened for The Prisoner, a big-screen adaptation of the 1967 British TV show of the same name that has been rumored to be Nolan's next movie (as per Variety). While nothing is definitive and should be taken with a grain of salt at this point, a cinematic adaptation of The Prisoner could potentially be Nolan's riskiest venture to date. And what I find even more fascinating is that the movie has potential to adopt Inception's dream manipulation lore, setting up for an exciting connection between the two films. Yes yes, no one expects an Inception sequel as the auteur-filmmaker doesn't like doing sequels, and I don't even want him doing sequels actually, but his next speculated project has the potential to become the perfect follow-up to the 2010 film as an extension or a shared universe rather than a direct sequel. A direct sequel to his classic film nah that won't be for me, I expect a lot more. The depth On the surface, The Prisoner does not share much common ground with Inception and unfolds more like a classic spy thriller with a few sci-fi elements. It revolves around a man who, after resigning from his government job, finds himself in a mysterious settlement called "The Village," where every citizen has a number assigned to them instead of a name. . The Creator - Réalisé par Gareth Edwards (2023) . Synopsis: Dans un futur proche, les humains et l’intelligence artificielle (IA) se livrent une guerre sans merci. Joshua, un ex-agent des forces spéciales fragilisé par la disparition de sa femme, est recruté pour traquer et neutraliser le Créateur, l’insaisissable architecte d’une IA avancée à l’origine d’une arme qui pourrait mettre fin à la guerre... . Mon avis: Quel bonheur de découvrir un blockbuster de cette trempe! Alors que depuis plusieurs années on nous abreuve jusqu’à l’overdose de films de super-héros, de suites, de remakes, et autres adaptations, c’est devenu véritablement rare de pouvoir découvrir une création originale. Et surtout quand elle a de telle qualités, je suis prêt à lui pardonner tous ses défauts. Alors oui, le film s’inspire de grands classiques du genre. On y retrouve du Blade Runner, du Terminator, voire même Apocalypse Now, mais s’il y a bien une chose qui va mettre tout le monde d’accord, c’est la qualité visuelle du film. D’autant plus que Gareth Edwards fait le choix judicieux de tourner principalement son film en décors naturels en limitant les fonds verts. Et le rendu final est bluffant car les effets spéciaux sont incrustés avec un réalisme impressionnant. Car la grande force du film est clairement le monde qu’il nous propose. Et même s’il multiplie à outrance les référence cinématographiques et littéraires, il réussit à nous proposer un univers qui lui est propre. Il y a une vraie cohérence visuelle et c’est un régal de découvrir ce mélange d’univers cyberpunk à la culture asiatique. Ça foisonne de détails et le design général est éblouissant, que ce soit les décors, les robots, les machines, on en prend plein les yeux et le film met à l’amende un bon nombre de grosses productions hollywoodiennes. D’autant plus que le film n’a coûté que 80 millions de dollars, là où la grande majorités des productions Marvel dépassaient les 200 millions. Bref, c’est du très grand spectacle, extrêmement généreux et on ne s’ennuie pas une seconde. Le film prend souvent des airs de film de guerre (le Vietnam n’est jamais loin) et propose des scènes de guerre épiques et impressionnantes. (…)

Its story is set in 2055 when AI created by humans launches nuclear warheads over California, now the Western world pledges to stop the use of AI to prevent the extinction of mankind but there seems to be resistance as countries of Asia still embrace AI. A special force agent is tasked with a secret mission to stop The Creator who has developed a weapon that could end the war between the Western world and Asia, also known as New Asia in the film. The film’s political elements are fun to watch, it's something you can expect to happen, whenever a writer of a film does a film that is set in the near or far future I always see how real can it get. The theme of the story was to make AI to be more than just robots. I think they succeeded there but at the expense of the humans. Most of the humans in the story ended up being one-faced - except for Joshua ( #JohnDavidWashington). They lacked connection, even with emotions running in the script, I think they were a bit hit-and-miss. Even though the performances are good, particularly #MadeleineYunaVoyles & Washington, I just didn't really connect to any of the characters. This lack of connection and emotion is one of the biggest things missing from this film. Il a du charisme et sa doublure française est aussi excellente. 🥷🏿 - Les sons du film et l'ensemble musical est vraiment très bon et nous permet de rentrer dans l'ambiance rapidement. 🎵 - L'ensemble de la réalisation et donc de l'ambiance et des effets spéciaux, rendent des plans très beaux et nous font entrer dans un univers très plaisant. 🎥 Les 2️⃣➖️ : - Le film se perd de temps en temps entre les scènes qui se déroulent dans le passé, celles dans le présent et celles dans le futur...ce qui est dommage pour la compréhension globale. ⏮️⏭️ - Le film n'est pas toujours très simple à comprendre. Même quand on pense avoir saisi le plus gros de l'intrigue, on passe à côté d'autres éléments.
