Check out our latest video we put together to showcase our newest creation, The Falcon camera chase vehicle, featuring a fully robotic remote controlled arm and vibration isolator system we called the BigArm. Designed and built completely in-house at Big Bird Films. The concept of this beast came to me one evening when working on a job where a high speed chase vehicle was required and I could clearly see there was a need to have the ability to move the camera system precisely without needing to lose so much time on set. We paired our custom made BigArm robotic system with the Freefly Movi XL gimbal and a Subaru Impreza STI. A very capable vehicle, and exactly for our needs. This project was in the making for over a year and we certainly loved designing, buildings for filming ever part so we hope you enjoy it too. I've felt inspired by his work for quite some time now and things aligned in such a way that we ended up working on this beautiful collab. He will be composing the score for my new fashion dance short called "She Made Me" (filmed before quarantine) and here is the freshest trailer with an excerpt of the score. Cannot wait to be able to share this film with the world in its upcoming film festival tour! This entire short started as an exploration between myself and performer Cristina Tudor and was intended to be just a photoshoot. However, as soon as she inhabited the costume everything changed including ourselves in the process. The lack of the usual human communication channels (eyes, facial gestures) transformed the experience into a purely corporeal one, a most honest and beautiful expression of the power of body language when it is reduced to merely a silhouette.
