Sanctification - it’s a big word with a lot of meaning behind it. But in simple terms it’s the process of making something or someone holy. It’s the refining process of turning away from our sins and chasing after Christ and how He’s called us to live. Colossians 1:10 and Ephesians 4:29-32 describe this. When we enter into the season of marriage and motherhood God uses it to further refine us and draw us closer to him. Your home is a spiritual battleground like no other. Home is raw. Home is where we bear our true nature and often where our flaws are revealed to us. But what a beautiful place for spiritual refinement, to be refined along with our loved ones. To dig in together, support and love one another as we strive for the life Christ has called us to. How are you fighting your battle of sanctification? For me is learning to be more selfless and patient; especially in this season of motherhood with young children. But God has been so good, and I’m so thankful for the work he is completing in me. Jesus plus religion will not bring you what it promises—it leads to a whole lot of working that doesn’t lead to transformation. If it’s not the Gospel, it will not produce power in your life (Rom 1:16). The Gospel is simply Jesus plus nothing. Jesus makes you, and keeps you, close to God—all by faith, not by works. Jesus has made you a son, a daughter in the house of God—this is your identity. Jesus has completely forgiven you—past, present, and future. Yes, it’s all covered by His blood (Heb 10:22)! So few days ago I read a comment on Instagram where someone said “Christians are not going to heaven for believing in Jesus 🤦‍♀️because Jesus is a human being and you can’t believe in a human being and expect to go to heaven!”🙄 This statement is erroneous and purely ignorant. Ladies and Gentlemen! News flash! JESUS IS THE ALMIGHTY GOD. He is not a man, He is not just a second or third person in the God head!” He Is the very God! Infact there is No God without JESUS. Forgiveness and salvation is a personal relationship w/ God.No amount of repetitive prayers or offerings will bail you out.Painful but it's the sad truth.Most of us are stuck in the Old Testament.We rely on offerings & mediation for our sins to be forgiven bec. we've been told.Why would Jesus come down to earth & suffer a brutal death if man can be saved by other means?Enter Jesus.Jesus is the Great High Priest and the only mediator between God and man.He died on the cross bec no one could have save themselves by their own works.Not by any means we've been taught growing up.The Blood of Christ was the final atonement for past, present & future sins.Sounds good to be true right?It's called Grace.The greatest gift God has given to humanity.Thats John 3:16 for you.Read the book of Hebrews.You'll understand why Jesus was enough.You'll be flabbergasted reading this book (goosebumps). I used to beat my chest out of guilt being a sinner, who continuously sin, unhappy, no peace despite what I have been taught on how to be saved. I was afraid of death bec I don't know where I'm gonna end up dying as a sinner.Ive been chained & had that heavy load for years until I came to know the Truth.The importance of His blood like the that of a sheep being offered in the Old Testament. It make sense to me.Indeed, the truth shall set you free.The answer was in the Bible all along and I didn't know.I found peace knowing He's been there all my life and all I needed was to repent, acknowledge and trust in Him.Now I could die anytime without fear & w/ confidence to face God blemish free knowing what He has done for me.I still get goosebumps to this day whenever I think of Him giving up His life for me despite me not being worthy of it. If we don't believe that the blood of Jesus was suffice for the atonement of our sins then His brutal death was pointless.Yes sin is a cycle.But Jesus doesn't have to come down & die repeatedly on the cross.The battle has been won.Peace be with you. Motherhood can definitely be a challenging time. While it’s easy to get consumed with what’s going on in your own life; don’t forget the important need to foster lasting friendships. Friendships are such a special treasure and can last a lifetime when fostered with care. Your friends will be in the trenches of motherhood with you, they’ll be celebrating your success with you, they’ll be there to embrace you through the hard times, good or bad, thick or thin they will walk through life with you. God created a headship order, it is Biblical. This doesn’t make woman inferior to man, our roles are just different. Beautifully crafted by a God who loves us and knows how best we work together. The patriarchy reflects the headship order that God created - God then man then woman. 1 Corinthians 11:3 But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 1 Corinthians 11:8-9 For man was not made from woman, but woman from man. Undivided Attention is Undivided Worship. Looking to Jesus, the founder, and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 Where is our focus? Are we distracted by the things of this life? Maybe even distracted in trying to serve and please God, because that happens all too much. Is our focus simply Jesus and nothing but Him? Are we more like Martha trying to do, or are we like Mary who sat at His feet and received “that good part” (Luke 10:42)? Are we like Peter needing rescue, because our eyes stopped looking to Jesus and the waves had their way with us? When our focus is undivided, only on Jesus, our worship is undivided. So how do we focus better? Is it by doing more stuff for God? I mean doing stuff for God is good, but we can do a lot of stuff and end up burning out and getting distracted. We can miss Jesus altogether while we try to do stuff. What if trusting God is all He wants from us? What if focusing on Jesus is simply trusting Him in every moment and situation of our lives and allowing Him to live His life through us? Faith is what pleases Him (Heb. 11:6) And trusting Him causes us to focus all the more on Him rather than on us and what we can do. Proverbs 3:5-6 says it best, ”Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” When we lean on our own understanding we lose sight of the Life we have in Him and rely on our flesh. Trusting in the Lord with all our hearts is all we need to keep our focus. Time with Him in His Word and prayer is a great place to start to help us know Him and trust Him. Oh, and if you do get distracted, don’t fear that He is done with you. Peter almost drowned because he looked away, but Jesus was right there and picked him up before he went under. That is the Grace of our Jesus. Trust Him. In all your ways acknowledge Him. Allow Him to lead. Look to Him. #undividedattention #Jesusplusnothing

I felt like i was suppose to meet someone 14 years ago. I was reading his book in 2009 and i was like i have to go meet this guy. Well it finally happened! Wednesday morning I was at my local coffee shop praying for people. I prayed for this guy named tullian because he was having a conference on grace this weekend. I love grace because when you realize that you never meet the stardard but are loved anyways something beautifully freeing happens. You can walk in freedom and be who you are created to be! Grace - undeserved favor! Free gift! So i decided to text him and say hey praying for you hope your conference goes well! He says you need to hop on a flight! I said “hahaha” he said this isnt a laughing matter! I said there is no way! He conviced me to go bc he said in a week you will be glad you used your time this way. He was right! He is passionate about grace like i am! Typically when someone is passionate about something who they hang around with are too! Met so many amazing loving people! So greatful for this random last minute adventure! I feel so full and am so reminded it is so important to be around people who bring life to you and are passionate about similar things! It will fuel your tank and also provide life to be able to pour out to other others. Thank you Sanctuary people for blessing me!!! So much joy flowed out of this weekend! So grateful!

Besides believing in Jesus and what he did on the cross for you, you don't have to DO anything to be saved. 🙏 Over the weekend my family and I watched a documentary called "American Gospel: Christ Alone." It was powerful because it was a great reminder to Christians as well as a revelation to non-Christians that there is not a list of to-do's you have to do (or be) to be saved by Jesus Christ, The Bible says in Romans 3:10 that "there is no one righteous - not one." That means that no matter how much of a good person you think you are because you do good things, you will always fall short of the holiness that God requires. We all deserve condemnation. 🌟 The good news though (The Gospel) is that because Jesus paid our penalty for not being good enough or holy enough by dying an awful death on the cross, we can have a right and righteous relationship with God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit if we will just accept (by believing) the grace He gave us at the cross. ➡️ You don't have to spend a certain amount of money or make a certain amount of money. ➡️ You don't have to go to confession 5 times a week. ➡️ You don't have to give a certain amount. ➡️ You don't have to do good works a certain amount of time per month. 🤯 Jesus paid it all FOR YOU and FOR ME so we don't have to live by works. In the Bible Ephesians 2:8-9 says, For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. By GRACE, through faith and NOT by works! When we truly grasp what Jesus did for us and the grace that He offers, then naturally we want to glorify Him in the way that we live, which produces fruit, but that is not what saves us. ❓Have you accepted Jesus' invitation and what He did on the cross for you because you could not pay that penalty? I often think about how we should love each other; especially in our marriages. Our spouse who is closest to us often gets the worst side of us; why is that? Being comfortable with someone doesn’t give us the right to be unloving towards them. We are called to love each other with the qualities shared in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. Jesus is sufficient and has complete supremacy. Denying that leads to believing a false theology of "Jesus and...." Friends, Jesus is enough. He is superior, and He is all we need for salvation.
