After a repack and reload from pony club Sunday we headed down @petstock_australia Victorian Interschools Championships for the jumping phase held at werribee park. Day one consisted of 2 phase where Lyla & Napoleon had a nice clear round in the 90cm to give them the win against a tough small group of competitors, a big win for them. 🥇❤️ - another emotional day knowing Murphy was suppose to be here competing in this round, I’m sure he was here getting them through this round 🪽❤️🩹 a huge thankyou to @emilysmassage_ for keeping Napoleon in top form. Pero salí del cine pensando que se me había hecho pesada, que me faltaban cosas por saber y que otras se habían contado a la mitad. Me falta estrategia militar y me sobran escenas de matrimonio. Quiero saber dónde acaba Napoleón II o porque muere en la isla de Santa Elena 🇸🇭. La BSO es una de las más flojas de la carrera del director 🎥 aunque tiene piezas impresionantes. Es una pelicula buena, que se puede hacer pesada por momentos, que creo que la 2a vez que se vea será mejor, pero que la decepción hace que la gente salga rara de la sala de cine. A Phoenix me lo creo como Napoleón físicamente, aunque tiene cosas del actor que aparecen en todos sus papeles. Pero me faltan detalles históricos del Rey. Todo está contado muy rápido, intentando ir al grano, pero creo que el director da por hecho que muchas cosas tiene que conocerlas en espectador por pura cultura general. La « Maison pompéienne » du prince Napoléon, inaugurée en 1860, était à la fois une œuvre d’archéologie expérimentale (reconstruire une villa romaine), un temple à la mémoire des Bonaparte (avec des effigies des membres de la famille un peu partout), et un musée (collections d’antiques et de peintures modernes de Plon-Plon). Désireux de faire ses preuves et prouver son mérite, il s'engage dans les troupes britanniques d'Afrique australe. « Lorsqu'on appartient à une race de soldat ce n'est que par le fer qu'on se fait connaître » écrit-il, rajoutant :« Quand j'aurai fait voir que je sais exposer ma vie pour un pays qui n'est pas le mien, on ne doutera plus que je sache la risquer mieux encore pour ma patrie ». En mission de reconnaissance dans la vallée du Ncome (Afrique du Sud), lui et ses camarades sont surpris par une attaque des Zoulous. La patrouille tente de s'échapper mais la selle du prince, la même qui portait son père à Sedan, voit sa sangle se briser et Louis-Bonaparte se retrouve à terre. Il se brise le bras droit et n'a que son pistolet pour se défendre face aux troupes zoulous. Écrasé par le nombre, il reçoit 17 coups de sagaie. Les Zoulous rendent hommage à la bravoure du jeune homme qui s'est battu "comme un lion" et restitueront ses effets personnels. Sa mort précipitée provoque l'émotion en France, surtout dans la classe populaire.
