Sorry I’ve been so quiet on social media girls!! It’s been a crazy week with so much going on this end. I flew in from London exactly a week ago straight into Jerusalem - 4 days of straight ibadah at one of my favourites places in the world 🌎 Masjid Al Aqsa 🕌 and then straight into aidwork. In between I somehow managed to tear my calve muscle ( which is excruciatingly painful those who have experienced it will know) I somehow managed to tear both my lower leg muscles. Every time I took a step to walk I was in so much pain. This was a few days before I had even started the aid work. Aid Work The restrictions were heightened even more so after the tragic loss of 7 international aid workers who were killed whilst working in a kitchen providing hot meals to the starving. My 72 hours in West Bank - what a challenge with the countless non stop check points nevertheless the travel went smoothly 🙏🏻 Alhamdullilah WEST BANK, PALESTINE 📍 * 1st stop - Meetings @ Action for Humanity Office, Ramallah, Palestine with the Country Director. * Hot Meal Distribution to 1,200 families in Ramallah * Then straight into Nablus helping prepping hot meals for another 3,200 families in Nablus & Jenin * Yesss I did get stuck inside as check points & borders suddenly closed 🙈 A massive THANK YOU to each and every single person who has donated to provide emergency aid to the people of Palestine and for all the ongoing support for food & medical 🏥 aid in West Bank, Jenin & G@ZA May Allaah SWT reward you all immensely in this lifetime and ease all your hardships - Aameen. I took nana g and went to do my first ever deployment to Turkey/Syria, before I went i was a bit skeptical but when I got there the experience for me was unreal, life changing to say the least. I saw people who had lost everything living inside of tents crammed with up to 10 people, I saw people left blind and injured due to war and natural disasters. I saw children without parents and parents without there children, and all they kept saying was Allahumdulliah, it changed my life, I'd like to do more aid work and spend more time over seas using my puppets and creativity to help people who have faced trauma, help children to smile again. One of the Action for Humanity staff members took my puppet and started playing with it and said tehseen , when I was playing with the puppet and the kids were laughing I forgot about all of my pain, and I looked at him and said, this is why I do it, to help me forget about my pain, making others happy because I've been at my lowest and i dont ever want others to feel the way I did. What an amazing experience this was for me, may Allah remove the hardships these people are facing in Syria and in Gaza ,Yemen, Lebanon ameen.
