BOOK REVIEW 📖 5⭐️ Having really enjoyed Blink Of An Eye I was excited to find there was a sequel and it did not disappoint. It was great to catch up with Kat and Aide Lock as I love their dynamic and we get to see their 'relationship' develop further. The pros and cons of AI vs human policing is still a factor but it's great to see them compliment each other too and it's such a different take compared to many other crime thrillers. Book no.2 of the adventures of AIDE Lock & police detective Kat Frank. 🚨 It's great to be back with the characters, and getting to know them all a bit more. Shy, quiet DS Debbie Brown is well underway with her pregnancy with a nice little interlude where she daydreams about a plate of hash browns and two fried eggs - cue my photo 🍳 The recent release of the Humane AI Pin (and subsequent panning in reviews) makes me LOL about the realism of the tech involved with AIDE Lock, but sometimes you have to suspend that disbelief. A live murder investigation that turns into a hunt for a serial killer, the threat of being taken off the case, and a race against time to save a colleague...
