Missed this island for its unique charm🥹 It's been several years since I visited Anna Maria Island, and A LOT has changed. On the southern part of the island, they're working on expanding it (probably to accommodate more people) Our goal was to sink our feet into the powdery sand and admire the crystal clear turquoise water, go have dinner at a nice restaurant, and watch the sunset. But we quickly realized that even at nearly 6 pm, many people were on the beach, and all of the restaurants were packed full. We were only able to find parking at Coquina Beach, which is further down past Bridge Street and Anna Maria Beach. It's kind of worrisome how the island is going to look like in the summer and fall if there is already a long line of cars going onto Anna Maria. But I wasn't going to skip out on admiring the natural scenery and the ocean while I was there. This location offers a ton of scenic opportunities in a small area which is perfect when working with little ones.
