What a magical and special place. Normally I suffer from sensory issues and struggle taking my shoes off. I have special water shoes for paddling in. Yesterday our team started their training for TWiTCH (Talk With Tales for Children). TWiTCH is a professional development programme that combines dialogic reading of stories and dialogic interaction to improve language outcomes for children. Talk with Tales for Children (TWiTCH) teaches practitioners how to use story time as a daily opportunity for complex language interactions between children and adults. It also supports the use of teacher/โchild talk through language games to develop childrenโs thinking and reasoning skills and gives them the language to express complicated thoughts and ideas.

We have been doing this by sharing lots of opportunities to explore our feelings and discussing ways to support our emotional well-being. One of these ways is through mindfulness and yoga. Today the children have enjoyed an afternoon of yoga. Yoga has a huge amount of benefits - it can help manage anxiety, boost childrens self esteem and helps them regulate their emotions. Yoga also improves childrens concentration, memory, strength and felxibility aswell as enhances the childrens body awareness and mindfulness. ๐งโโ๏ธ๐งโโ๏ธ
