Before and after of a little project I took on a couple weeks ago. A few speed bumps but I finally finished! It was only partially wood and the rest partical board, I was disappointed that it wasn’t full wood. I used a gel stain on the desk top but when doing the sealing the temperature dropped and it all cracked. So I found a piece of wood to screw on the top instead, I love it even better. More texture! We were finding ways to bring in a west coast influence and grassy textures became an important tool. We found these seagrass chairs that had counter stools as well, they had such a thick texture and felt really casual. It’s always a hard balance when you have an eat in Kitchen to figure out how the stools and chairs play well together. There are so many other elements in the spaces that matching the stools and chairs doesn’t come off as too matchy - matchy - just enough !
