When cooking at home, you always need a beverage in hand. I went into the beer fridge and saw XPA and grabbed it. Lo and behold turns out that I do not necessarily know what an XPA is. I had to look it up and noted it is a lot lighter in body and color than I was expecting, a more sessionable and drinkable Pale Ale. Deluxe Home Beverage: An Extra Pale Ale from Roaring Table Brewing. It is super drinkable and highly refreshing. High carbonation with nice bitterness, but not too bitter. Nice hop flavors, but not too much. I'm here at @halfpintpub having Edward by @hillfarmstead. This is one of those breweries that gets a lot of buzz on social media and now I finally get to try one. You couldn't get their beer in the South. Edward is a pale ale named after the original owner of the farm where the brewery now sits in Vermont. Having a chilled Sunday evening and finally sampling @twistedanklebrewco Tail Wagger, a Pale Ale with a hint of ginger, from last year's Breakthrough Brewery at the @scotbeerawards. It's nice and a wee bit weird, but not in a bad way. Like alcoholic ginger beer but with much less of a ginger taste, making for a smoother drink. Good thing I bought 4 bottles 😁🏴🍻

The original has been a slight disappointment for me, a lot of sediment, bitter and boozy - may be good for some?

Посему - ностальгический обзор. Я несколько месяцев прожил в Мармарисе, что в провинции Мугла, но долгое время не мог добраться до пивоварни «Gara Guzu», расположенной неподалеку в одноименном городе Мугла. Переписывался с владельцами в соцсетях и покупал их пивко в алкомаркетах, но доехать никак не получалось, ибо вечно что-то мешало. А потом внезапно перестало мешать. Я-таки доехал до промзоны Муглы и отыскал помещения, в которых расположилась «Gara Guzu Brewery». Во время визита владелица пивоварни подарила мне не только фирменный стакан, но и пару сортов пивка на выбор. Я взял свой любимый портер, который уже пил ранее и новый NEPA, впервые презентованный в 2022 году. Мне его налили прямо из танка, и было вкусно, поэтому я решил закрепить успех и баночной версией. Вскрываем! Цвет мутно-рыжий, непрозрачный. Пышная шапка крупнозернистой пены исчезает через пару минут. Карбонизация сильная. В аромате переплетаются оттенки маракуйи, лайма, грейпфрута и полевых цветов. Сочетание удачное и настраивающее на позитивный лад. Вкус горько-сладкий, с небольшой фоновой кислинкой. Здесь все то же самое: приятный цитрусово-тропический коктейль. Солодовое тело легкое, но не водянистое. Общий баланс хорош: горечь грамотно уравновешивает сладость и чуть-чуть уходит вперед в духе американского крафта. Пиво очень питкое. В чуть терпком послевкусии сталкиваются цедра цитрусов с полевыми цветами и травянистым хмелем. Финиш весьма сухой. Пожалуй, это лучшее турецкое охмеленное пиво из всех, что я пробовал. А пробовал я больше 50 сортов, и есть с чем сравнить. Просто идеальный напиток для пляжного отдыха. Me, Myself and I (5% ABV) DDH Pale by @lostcausebrewingco I had the privilege of being at the recent @thebrewersjournal lectures event in Bristol and got to listen to @colinstronge talk about the birth of this new Yorkshire brewery! They have quite the pedigree with a combined 40 years in the industry and a brewer of the year award only a couple of years ago! There was definitely a buzz when we tried this during the talk but I wanted to try this one at home! I liked hearing about no compromise on the beers and varied styles straight out of the gate! As first beers go this one was so good! Balanced, smooth and packed full of flavour. Lots of tropical hits and a lovely level of bitterness to create a super sessionable juicy pale, right in my wheelhouse!
