Did you know lodging is included? Our Venue for Raqs Deluxe is the Twinstone Lodge holiday home in Genk (BE), close to the Dutch border. A lovely and trendy house with all the comforts you need! The house has 10 bedrooms and 7 modern bathrooms and can accomodate upto 28 people. Other than that, we have 2 living rooms/sitting area's and 2 kitchens! The house even has a sauna and steambath for relaxing in between + a big outside terrace. As the house sits in the middle of a national parc, we are surrounded by nature. We've mentioned that @samia_abait will be taking a teaching break this term BUT we are HAPPY to announce that she is part of our retreat as one of our workshop teachers! 🤩 Here's what she will teach: ⭐ ORIENTAL TANGO FUSION Samia will teach basic tango techniques integrated into sequences and movements of oriental dance. Sometimes, the movements are inspired by tango and then adapted for belly dance and vice versa, creating a fusion between the two dances. Tango originated in the suburbs of Buenos Aires between 1870 and 1890. It is a dance based on improvisation and its structure consists of figures, steps, suspension of movement, and nuances that dancers combine spontaneously. The fusion of belly dance and tango holds great appeal, particularly for oriental dancers. This blend presents a captivating opportunity to refine leg and foot techniques, fostering the cultivation of grace and precise positioning. Both belly dance and tango are deeply emotive and expressive forms of dance, tapping into inner energies and profound emotions. I had the most spectacular weekend at The Diva Dance Retreat in California. I enjoyed delicious food, listened to meaningful discussion, enjoyed beautiful dancing, and savored in-depth learning. My heart is full. My soul is flying. 🦋 Tribal Moon Dance Camp was a Dream coming true. 🙌🏼 We shared 4 beautiful days together in which we went through so much in such an intensity that it felt like much more than this! This was more than dance! This was an inner journey accompanied by like minded, strong and soft women. We had 14 hour days in which we danced, sweat, played, laughed, cried and breathed together. Among all ladies were so many talented dancers and artists but no ego involved. We shared an harmonious safe space, in which each woman could put her dance soul out and grow! I am so grateful that you put your trust in me and that so many came out to share their passion!
