Είναι βασικά όλη η Ελλάδα εθισμένη με αυτό; Ναι. ✨Και επειδή εγώ πάω κόντρα στο κατεστημένο, εννοείται ότι θα διάβαζα το βιβλίο αντί να δω το σίριαλ. ✨Κυρίες και κύριοι, σας παρουσιάζω τον «Σασμό» του Σπύρου Πετρουλάκη. 🌿«Σασμός» στην Κρήτη σημαίνει «σιάξιμο». Για ένα σιάξιμο η Μαρίνα και η κόρη της εγκαταλείπουν την Κρήτη χωρίς να ξέρουν ούτε και οι ίδιες που πηγαίνουν. Για ένα χέρι που όπλισε και σκότωσε, για ένα άλλο χέρι που ανταπέδωσε. Ποιανού το χέρι σηκώθηκε πρώτο; Ποιος έπρεπε να μιλήσει, αλλά δεν μίλησε ποτέ; 📌Ο Σπύρος Πετρουλάκης καταφέρνει να μας μεταφέρει στις θρυλικές βεντέτες της Κρήτης και να μας δείξει ότι τα πράγματα δεν είναι τόσο απλά και ίσως ρόδινα όπως μας έδειξαν η Βουγιουκλάκη και ο Παπαμιχαήλ στην ταινία «Η νεράιδα και το παλικάρι». Χύνεται αίμα, και αυτός ο κύκλος αίματος μπορεί να μην κλείσει ποτέ. Κοπέλια και γυναίκες χάνουν τους άντρες τους, τους πατεράδες, τους αδελφούς τους. Φαμίλιες χάνουν τα αρσενικά τους, γιατί σε μια βεντέτα δεν επιτρέπεται να σκοτώσεις γυναίκες και παιδιά... 💭Χωρίς αμφιβολία, η πένα του κ. Πετρουλάκη είναι εξαιρετική. Και παρόλο που είναι η δεύτερη φορά που διαβάζω το συγκεκριμένο βιβλίο, ένιωσα την ίδια ρίγη που ένιωσα και την πρώτη φορά που το διάβασα, τότε που το τελείωσα μέσα σε μια μέρα. 📌Σας το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα. We're reading Simone Weil for the bookclub that I joined a while ago. I loved Weil's essay on the Iliad—The Iliad, or the Poem of Force—and have been meaning to read more of her writing. So, when someone suggested that we discuss Weil next, I cast my vote... and here we are. The others are reading a Dutch volume of her essays; I'm trying to match the content of that volume with essays from the collections that I have. This is the first one, from which I have just finished reading Human Personality (quoted above). It's a poignant and thought-provoking piece. I'll share a picture of the other collection of Weil's essays that I'm reading later. I'm taking them one by one, and I'm trying to read all of the essays even if that means that there will be some that the others haven't read (yet). That just means that I might have a different Weil-perspective to add to the discussion, which would be nice. ☺️ p.s. I didn't mean to add my hand in the picture, but since I already started reading the book, and it's one of those covers that gets very floppy once you handle it, I had to hold down the cover to be able to take a good picture of it.
