We know you’re super excited to see your beautiful flowers but there’s a few key things to keep in mind to help with longevity & making sure your blooms stay stunning! 🦢 Flowers are extremely delicate and can bruise by the slightest touch, so although they’ve have gorgeous textures and smell amazing, refrain from heavy handling or touching the flowers. They are precious little babies 👼🏼 🦢 Before the wedding, once you’re all dressed, looking stunning and you’re ready to head to the ceremony - select someone in the room to help. Kindly get someone to lift each bouquet out of the water source and use a towel/tea towel to completely dry the bottom of the stems before handing you the bouquet. The last thing we want is water drips all over your beautiful gowns! 🦢 If you have corsages or buttonholes included on your bridal party blooms, pop them on at the last moment and try not to squish them between big hugs!! Buttonholes/corsages are often the most bruised at the end of the night and sometimes fall apart due to endless hugs and wild dancing! Imade this bouquet in the overhang format, but I only had 4 large flowers and a bunch of smaller rainbow flowers. You do need a large opening for this prefably a compote. This setup is rather simple. What I have done here is use already existing dry flowers I had and branches from my yard. I actually don't know all the names. Will post those of the weekend. The fresh ones are in the center. Tell me if you know why? The way to get dry flowers is to tie the ends and hang them upside down. If you see the red yellow ones, those are from an earlier bouquet. As a wedding photographer, here are my top tips on how to hold your wedding bouquet on your big day! First! Dry the bottom of your bouquet before you bring it near your dress. A Wet bouquet will leave a big spot on your dress! Second, hold your bouquet closer to the top, rather than the bottom. Bridal bouquets are heavy! This will keep your arm from tiring out. Third, place your bouquet at your belly button. This will prevent your bouquet from covering up the bodice of your wedding dress. Fourth, tilt your bouquet at a 45 degree angle or wider, this will allow the greens to cascade naturally and hide the stems! Lastly, roll your shoulders back. This will correct your posture and relax your arms. Tense arms will make your arms look bigger as well as highlight imperfections that you may be uncomfortable with, such as cellulite! Thought we'd share a little tip on how to hold your Bridal Bouquet ❤️ Tilt your flowers slightly forward, as shown in the 2nd pic. If you hold them straight up, everyone will only see a side profile and the stems (as seen in the first pic). By tilting your bouquet slightly, it will display your bouquet beautifully and give everyone, including your photographer, the best view. Also don't hold your bouquet too high, you don't want to hide your gorgeous dress or get tired arms!
