South Korea is grappling with a severe population decline. Têm o poder de nos transmitir coisas sérias, coisas de adultos, de uma forma tão simples, infantil, poderá mesmo dizer-se ingénua. E gosto desta fábula, em particular, não só por ter sido a minha avó a contar mas porque me fez perceber, embora tardiamente, que às vezes, muitas vezes mesmo, não vale a pena tentar compreender e justificar a conduta de algumas pessoas. Quase todos os indivíduos foram sujeitos a acontecimentos menos bons, alguns muito mau mesmo, que os marcaram, os fizeram sofrer e até os tornaram menos humanos. Alguns ficaram doentes, despojados do sentido crítico e da capacidade de distinguir o bem do mal, o certo do errado. Mas deixemo-nos cá de palavreados, e de teorias formuladas à luz do sol para torna tudo mais bonito. Há pessoas que simplesmente são más porque sim! Faz parte da índole dessas pessoas. Ele fugia rápido com medo da feroz predadora, e a cobra nem pensava em desistir. Fugiu um dia e nada. E a cobra não desistia, dois dias... No terceiro dia, já sem forças, o pirilampo parou e disse à cobra: - Posso fazer-te três perguntas? - Podes.
