“My love for advertising started at a young age. “When I was in elementary school, I decided to run for student council. I quickly realized that if I wanted to win, I had to capture my classmate’s attention and make sure they couldn’t forget me. I did some crazy things including dressing up like advertising icon Billy Mayes and performing an infomercial in front of my school to tell them why they should vote for me (and I won!). Ah BYU. My time here has been incredible. Freshman year was a party. Serving a mission in Peru and Provo (yes I was one of the missionaries on BYU haha) for two years was a life-changing experience. The friends and roommates I’ve made have inspired me. I’ve had way too many vending machine protein bars. Ochem almost killed me. Skiing tried to wreck my knees. The testing center has collected enough of my money in late fees to probably pay an entire semester (or maybe year?) of tuition. I’ve learned more about myself than I ever knew before. Dance and hockey classes helped me step out of my comfort zone and try new things. I’ve spent more time at the library some days than I did at home (I even have a desk I call mine - featured in the 8th picture). Volunteer opportunities taught me to love serving others. Seemingly endless science classes gave me a deeper love for learning. And special spiritual experiences brought me closer to my Savior. While at BYU I’ve had some of the best times and some of the hardest times of my life. Thank you to all the family, friends, and roommates who supported me along the way. I’m proud of all the work I put in to make this possible, but know that none of it would be possible without God’s help. I owe Him everything. Apparently four years wasn’t enough, so dental school is up next🩺 I’m not sure where I’ll end up, but I trust God and what I’ve learned here has prepared me to go forth and serve. There isn't enough space to describe my journey and all the wonderful people I've met along the way. I have the most amazing support team that has stood by me through tearful phone calls, spontaneous trips, and crazy homeless weeks! “To a Certain Degree” The Sneak Peeks are in! Here’s what an initial release usually looks like after we shoot before a full delivery. A lovely mother who had her photographer cancel last second and as a result made the better decision to choose me second-first (I kid). Roaming around as the sunset filled in and eventually faded from campus and into the Wasatch was a truly special evening. BYU fostered just that. Through the Experience Design and Management program, I greater developed my passion for designing experiences and learned the frameworks and psychology behind intentionally orchestrating experiences. I have received my Bachelor’s Degree in Experience Design and Management from The Marriott School of Business!!! I have had the privilege to work at @the___grit while studying at BYU. It allowed me to apply what I learned in class directly to my job, contributing to both my personal growth and the success of the company. Following my graduation I wanted to share with you all how extremely grateful I am for the people at @cocacola, @swirecocacolausa, and the @cokescholars. When I won the $20,000 Coca Cola scholarship in 2017, my life changed forever. Because of this amazing scholarship and the connections I’ve made through this program I graduated debt-free having met a multitude of incredible people that have helped support my efforts in housing advocacy, US-China relationship building, and so much more. I’m thrilled to have earned my Political Science degree with honors from @brighamyounguniversity with my social venture funded by the @byuballardcenter and induction into two honors societies. I've been blessed with two amazing daughters-in-law. One of them graduated from nursing school at BYU last week. My family and I went to the graduation. BYU GRADUATION!!👨🏼🎓💙🤍 Congrats Austin!!🥳 He graduated in Finance and WOW, what a journey. These are the days I hold near and dear🥹💓, BIG life moments for the STOTT8- a perfect day! Austin worked so hard. This degree has not been easy. Countless hours of hard work and dedication. (I cld say so much!) Austin has maintained an almost 4.0 as he worked & put himself through. Nine months ago, he got hired at Teton Wealth Investment Advisement and works as an Investment Advisor. During his senior year, he studied and passed more financial exams: SIE (Security Industry Essentials Exam), Series 63, Series 7, Series 65, Life, Accident, & Health Licenses. Also on his first day of senior year, Kenzie moved in across the hall. #FATE 🫶🏼☺️💓 Today is their ONE year anniversary. We love them so much and can’t wait to see what their journey holds.
