I know I haven't been active lately, but here's why... a few months ago, I applied for a professional internship at Disney. I have been working hard on getting my classes completed in order to graduate this spring, and on top of that, I have been interviewing for my dream job. As Walt Disney said, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." With that, I am excited to announce that I have accepted an offer for a Disney professional internship! Know the job description and know how your resume aligns with it. ✅ Be confident, even through the nerves. It’s completely ok to be nervous at the time of the call, but remind yourself that the Recruiter/Hiring Leader saw something in you that impressed them, and they want to know more! ✅ Set the tone of positivity. Recruiters want your experience to be memorable and positive, but it’s not a one-way street. We can feel the mood over the phone. 🏆 Pro Tip: If you need extra time to think about one of the questions, ask, “Can you elaborate?” The clarity provided will allow you to give a specific time where you can showcase your example. From this, the Endless Possibilities Showcase was born. On Valentine’s Day, hundreds of partners, leaders and executives came out to network with our current group of students and participants… and even sweethearts Mickey and Minnie were there! I’m beyond grateful for my immediate team (Elyse, Paige, Peter, Abbi, Corrie, Brandon, Ali and Ryan) and the teams I’m surrounded by. Each person truly focuses on how to create the best experience possible for our participants, while developing them for their careers journeys. end of an era! About a month ago I ended what was the best college program ever! - - - My time in as a character is WDW entertainment was the best time and helped me grow in some many ways! I was so blessed work along side with some many amazing people that I now call my close friends! Thank you to everyone that I met along the way and help shape what was my favorite role! 10 years ago, as an 18 almost 19 year old, I moved a thousand miles away from my family to pursue my dream of working for Disney. I’m so thankful for the last 10 years of Disney trips, working there, and meeting some of my favorite people because of Disney. Moving away to somewhere no one knew me was a chance for me to start being who I am. The happiness I felt/feel every time I go to Florida is amazing. My DCP was life changing for me. 10 years ago I didn’t think I’d be alive or ever feel like I wanted to be alive. When I was 18 I didn’t think I’d ever be happy or that I’d find somewhere I belong. From seeing Festival of Fantasy on opening day, doing a cast preview of Mine Train before it was open, a backstage tour of Tower of Terror, always being stuck in Magic Kingdom because of the Electrical Parade, countless hours at the parks, and making lifelong friendships - I’m forever thankful. So much has changed in the last 10 years - in me and in the Walt Disney World Resort - but my love for the company and theme parks has stayed consistent. I hope one day I can move back and work there again, but for now it’s see ya real soon. 🐭🫶🏻

Here’s some basic tips to help prepare you. ✅ Apply once you see them! Dont tell yourself, “I’ll do it later”. And so our journey comes to an end… This week I finished my Disney Professional Internship with the Health and Wellness Team at The Walt Disney Company. Everyone always warned me of working at a beloved place because it will ruin it. “Keep work and pleasure separate,” they said. I can testify that Disney is just as, if not more, magical than ever for me! These last six months I have been surrounded by amazingly talented Cast Members that became my Florida family. From Disney events to thanksgiving dinner, I always had my team. I was more than ready to move to the East Coast but when my life back home began to crumble, I contemplated where I was really meant to be. I followed my gut and continued to make Florida my home away from home. This internship taught me more than my brain can fit about The Muppets, Taylor Swift, Star Wars – oh and of course some work things like web design, media relations and internal communications.
