😃 As usual C2E2 is my second favorite and biggest Chicago comic con of year! 💚 I want out on a BANG this year with my cosplay costumes. Today I was Luigi from Luigi Mansion 3! I wanted to do it as a speical nod of all the Mario characters in honor of The Super Mario Bros. Movie this year. I had such a blast these two days here at the con even though I did not do an autographs this time. It was still fun as I got see funko figures, I got tons of compliments from everyone as a lot of people wanted to take my picture EVEN my own brother, I saw some old con families, had fun in the booths, lot of Cosplay action, and best of all… I got to be the lucky few to ask Darren a question at panel which total made my weekend. He was SO impressed by cosplay costume. 😊 So glad I got to go this year and just barely made it by getting the tickets at the last minute before they sold out. 😃 Day 1 here at C2E2 was SO much fun!!! For I took a half con day with work and the terrible rain weather. Let's go back to 2020 before lockdown started. That year, in February, I went to @c2e2 for the second time. Late January, I decided to make a full gears of war cosplay 2 weeks before I left to go to Chicago. Never made a gears cosplay before, and due to taking shortcuts, especially being last minute, I decided to make it my own interpretation of a locust drone. Luckily, I ordered the silicone mask around Thanksgiving 2019, so it was able to arrive before my trip. At the time, I was still somewhat new with electronics/lights, so instead of led strips, I used those small led diodes that you have to wire yourself. Anyway, this build taught me techniques that I still use today, texturing armor, led work, paint techniques, etc. The list goes on, lastly and unfortunately, after the con ended and arriving back home, lockdown started, and the world wasn't the same again since. I'm still proud of this suit, it was part of my stepping stone to where I am and what I do today. Also, it was awesome to meet @therealadamsavage for the first time back then, let alone a year later participating in an interview for @testedcom with @paladinsofcosplay . He looks so much older now since then as he pay poverty when he was 17th.
