📍Cakeaholics by Claire Today I tried a Gluten Free Kinder Cheesecake from Cakeaholics by Claire. Please note the Kinder Chocolate Bars (not buenos). My mam had a Peach Melba, but there was also gluten free peach Melba’s that looked identical! The cake shop is not 100% gluten free but the staff know everything about gluten free/ceoliac. They bake everything separately and first thing on a morning before any of the other cakes, to keep as safe as possible. The staff were so lovely and supportive of me being Ceoliac. I can’t believe this cake shop is so close to where I live and I’ve never been before! I will definitely become a regular! A bonus - none of the gluten free products were priced differently to the normal cakes! Easy wild mushroom and truffle soup served with a little homegrown poached egg. How to….. Rehydrate the wild mushrooms, keep the stock from them. Add 1/2 chopped onion, 2 garlic cloves and the drained rehydrated mushrooms to a frying pan & fry it all, for 5 mins on medium, before adding the stock. Then simmer for 20 mins. Add plant based cream and blend till smooth. Serve with a poached egg and a drizzle of truffle oil! Salt and pepper to your taste.
