I dont know about you, but i have suffered from cripling anxiety and depression most of my life, and it's a daily battle. I started my love self journey a few months ago, and I came across this app. It's called intertune. It speaks affirmations and positivity into vibe and the universe when I can't do it for myself. I felt kind lame listening to it at first, 🙄trust me I am the first to doubt everything. And it was definitely wierd, until I tried it with my Beats at night during my wind down time. Cheese Lady's Pick of the Week: Le Secret des Lys, a pasteurized cow's milk, soft-ripened pot-au-dribble from high in the mountains in the east of France. This oozy, molten, soft-ripened goo lick is matured in a ceramic crock in order to maintain its shape as it develops beneath a paper-thin rind that wafts bitter greens and cremini mushrooms. The paste is amply coating and offers flavors ranging from tangy, acidified cream, earth, and dry hay. This fromage is fun to bake and serve on warm bread, but it is sufficiently gooey and dunkable as-is. Besides bread, it loves a good dipping with broccoli, celery, and carrots 🥕 😋. Try Le Secret des Lys with a Jura wine (Poulsard, perhaps?), a dry Riesling, or an herbaceous, sweet vermouth. My heart is full ♥️ 3 years ago , in the middle of lockdown, I woke up and said “ Enough is enough, just go for it” … At first it started as a way to fill my days and make ends meet during extremely uncertain times…I had no intention on quitting what was a secure corporate fitness job to run a charcuterie business….5 months in to Sharecuterie Boards the gym doors opened again and I was faced with a choice. 1- Do I go back to a job I liked, but was taking a tole on my body and mental health, left me over worked, constantly burnt out and with absolutely no time for myself? OR 2- Do I believe in the potential of myself and this little business I’ve created and start to build a life that works for me and my dreams? I obviously chose #2 ♥️ And I am grateful every single day that I did. However, I wouldn’t be here 3 years later if it wasn’t for you ♥️ I truly believe and feel that this little CHEEZY community is something special…Some of you have been here since day 1 🥹 What makes us special , isn’t the amount of boards sold, events booked, grazing tables laid out… it’s more than that. Bixa orellana, or the Achiote plant, is a shrub native to the tropical regions of the Americas and the Caribbean. Its fraggle-rocky pods contain waxy arils that have brilliant red/orange carotenoid pigments, which make a colorant called annatto. Annatto can (and will) bleed onto anything in its path. It was originally used by the indigenous people for dye, war paint, sunblock, cosmetics (some people call Achiote the "lipstick tree"), and more. It is food-safe, odorless, and supposedly, practically flavorless, save a hint of earth and nuts--I've not tasted it in a paste or powder, but that's going to change. Because of its innocuity, this dye is found in all sorts of foodstuffs. So long Red number 5, or whatever! Annatto is in and on our fromage, regardless of whether it's artisinal or industrial. Some examples are Mimolette , Brebirousse D'Argental, Red Leicester, Moses Reaper, and basically any remarkably orangey cheese that isn't just B-linened from brine scrubs (DM me if you have questions).
