Zum 20 jährigen Bandjubiläum spielte die Nautik-Doom-Band @ahabdoom ein einmaliges Konzert im dunklen und in blaue Nebelschwaden eingehüllten Kirchenschiff. Zuvor spielte die Kölner Black Metal Band @ultha_youexistfornothing anlässlich ihres 10 jährigen Bandjubiläums ein Konzert in roten Nebelschwaden zwischen Doom und Black Metal in dieser besonderen Location. The somewhat different Sunday mass or an evening in red and blue 🤘 On 10.03.2024 it got dark and loud in the Christuskirche Bochum. To mark the band's 20th anniversary, nautical doom band @ahabdoom played a unique concert in the dark nave shrouded in blue clouds of fog. Previously, the Cologne black metal band @ultha_youexistfornothing played a concert in red wafts of fog between doom and black metal in this special location to mark their 10th anniversary. Am Beginn des Abends werden die 597 Namen jener Bochumer verlesen, die von den Nationalsozialisten deportiert und umgebracht worden sind. Gestern einfach den perfekten letzten Abend vor der Ankunft des Heilands gehabt. Zuerst war ich mit meinen Freundesmenschen @knoerfel80 und @streunermieze auf dem Benefizkonzert von @fridagold in der Christuskirche in Bochum. Ich habe schon unzählige Konzerte in meinem Leben erlebt, aber dieses war erst das zweite (nach dem Element of Crime Konzert innerhalb der Psycho-Tour Ende der 90er), was mich auf so eine tiefe und nachhaltige Art berührt hat. Alina Süggeler hat angedeutet, dass es das nächstes Jahr wieder geben soll - und ich kann das jedem nur wirklich DRINGEND ans Herz legen. Danach habe ich unmengen an weißem Glühwein und Eierpunsch mit Sahne vernichtet, als ich mit meinem Mann zum letzten Mal für dieses Jahr auf dem Bochumer Weihnachtsmarkt war. Und bei dieser Gelegenheit hat sich direkt noch ein Kindheitstraum erfüllt: auf dem Mittelalterlichen Teil des Marktes habe ich zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben Bogenschießen geübt. Und ich schwöre: das war nicht das letzte Mal. Leute, ich wünsche euch ein frohes Fest, Liebe, Essen und Ruhe!
