We @octaglen and myself had a lovely visit to Lancashire over the weekend to visit a couple of friends Charlie and Maggie. So apparently we had to go up Pendle hill? ๐ฌ In the rain of course! Postal service seems to be in the headlines currently, for not one, but two issues! Their difficulties in delivering post 6 days a week, being the more minor problem. Having lived rurally most of my life, not all, but in doing so, we are used to problems with the post. It can arrive at 9am! Or, it could be 3pm! If itโs not your regular lovely postie, (who messages me on Insta, should there be an issue with the weather etc.) they can decide to miss you out until she returns! Then thereโs a deluge! So a day of not delivering, Iโm used to! But, what would be a tragedy, is for many to miss seeing the country postie, to have a chat, be looked in upon, and the ability to alert the Community of any issues, on the village FB page. The rural Postie, doesnโt just deliver post. Tree number 634 (Geoff) had a serious fall in the storms last week, today was the day to tidy up and get him off the woodland path. Way bigger than he looked! All done for a charity to support Wildlife being connected from garden to garden in a chain - they have built up a chain of two villages now.
