El Nimrod NRA/C2 fue el prototipo del Grupo C nacido para el proyecto Nimrod Racing, una asociación entre el piloto de carreras Robin Hamilton y el presidente de Aston Martin, Victor Gauntlett, con la intención de construir prototipos deportivos para el Campeonato Mundial de Resistencia y el Campeonato IMSA GT utilizando motores Aston Martin V8. A rare Cadillac GT car on sale! There are plenty of reasons why you'd want a Pratt & Miller GT car but there's a few more why you'd want this specific example. Meet the Cadillac CTS-V.R. It's not a GTE car and it's not a GT3 car, it's a Pirelli World Challenge specific G3 car and the very last before the FIA-GT3 specification ATS-V.R which would come after. The Cadillac CTS-V.R much like most other cars in its lineage, is powered by a V8, this specific V8 is 6.2-litres and makes up to 500hp and in its time was highly competitive against FIA-GT3 cars that competed in the series. The example on sale, is Chassis- #3. This chassis was utilized for displays and acted as the team's back-up car. On two occasions, it did race. Jordan Taylor would drive the CTS-V.R twice, both at Mid-Ohio in 2012 and 2013 finishing as high as 2nd in 2012 and 7th in 2013. New week, new post. This time is something a tiny bit different than what I usually do. :) If you've ever seen any of my paintings, you know that cars are usually the main subject. This time, it's a bit different! The main subject in this painting is the feeling cars give to us. It's what it's all about at the end of the day. Cars aren't here to just look pretty. The most important thing at the end of the day is the happiness and smiles they gave us. It's about the days, the memories and the feelings we get. No matter if it's driving them or watching Nascar or F1. And I definitely believe that this painting represents exactly that! The happiness we, as car enthusiasts, get when we are around cars. GT America: Jason Daskalos, Dan Knox sweeps Long Beach! On Sunday, 21 April, GT America powered by AWS would end what was a fantastic weekend of racing at Long Beach. Following the Indycar race on Sunday and after the series' first race and IMSA on Saturday. The weekend would also see GT2 debut at the street circuit and bolsters a strong GT3 and GT4 grid. After winning Race 1 in dramatic fashion, CRP Racing's Jason Daskalos would sweep the weekend, keeping the GMG Racing Audi of James Sofronas in second in whar was a close finish that also included the third finishing SKI Autosports Audi of Johnny O'Connell. Turner Motorsport would score a 4th via Justin Rothberg with Mirco Schultis' MISHUMOTOR'S Callaway Corvette Z06.R GT3 placing 5th. Outragés par la défaite subie au Mans, là où Ferrari avait déjà gagné 9 fois, dont les 6 dernières éditions, la marque italienne a bien l'intention de rendre à Ford la monnaie de sa pièce. Ferrari débarque ainsi au début du mois de février pour l'équivalent américain des 24h du Mans : les 24h de Daytona. Pendant la course, les Ferrari se montrent supérieures à leurs adversaires et les Ford gt40 mk2 ne parviennent pas à résister aux italiennes. Pour humilier plus encore les américains, Ferrari décide d'imiter ce que Ford a effectué aux 24h du Mans 1966 lorsqu'ils avaient regroupé les 3 Ford en tête de course pour franchir la ligne d'arrivée ensemble, et ainsi, deux Ferrari 330 p4 et une 312p terminent la course ensemble. Jaguar XJR-9 GTP Daytona 25 Hours winner '88 - full build on YouTube - link in bio. This is the 1/43 @heller.fr kit but as I had already made the Silk Cut LM version, I sought out these Castrol decals to make the IMSA version which drove in the USA. I bought these decals on eBay and like many 1/43 sets, they didn't fit perfectly especially around the headlights so I fixed them where I could. Painted in Tamiya light grey primer, X2 white, LP09 clear gloss with Revell acrylics used elsewhere. I scratch built Daytona spec rear wing endplates, and used chrome foil and clear plastic for the headlights. Let me know what you think! When IMSA and PWC shared Long Beach! IMSA and SRO America share Long Beach this weekend with Indycar and while it marks a big weekend for each organizer, 10 years ago we were in a similar situation where sportscar racing was highly represented at the Florida street circuit. From Pirelli World Challenge to the newly established Tudor United Sportscar Championship, fans at Long Beach were in for fantastic racing in mid April of 2014. Plenty of teams and manufacturers had cars competing in both series as well, such as Pratt & Miller Motorsports who operated both Corvette Racing and Cadillac Racing, while privateers represented Ferrari and Porsche. Pirelli World Challenge meanwhile held the only V12 that weekend, that car being the TRG operated Aston Martin Vantage V12 of Tomy Drissi. IMSA this weekend ran GTLM only so GT3 cars were only represented in Pirelli World Challenge.
