Created in collaboration with Devonshire Youth Collective and Sanctuary. 🖼️ Adam Moore’s @adameastlondon ‘Still Life’: Located at the end of Eastbourne Pier, combines image and text with the pier’s unique architecture, choreography, and changing ambiance. ‘Still Life’ invites you to pause and to consider yourself the custodian of your future and the caretaker of your life throughout changing circumstances and seasons. 🌟 Madeleine Pledge’s ‘superstructure (public image)’: Located in Marine Parade Gardens, this artwork consists of aluminium and steel structures fitted around selected palm trees and cordylines. Working together as a duo since meeting at Central Saint Martins in 2015 their work straddles creative direction, fashion design, video direction, installation and fine art practice. Congratulations to Eastbourne-based artist Judith Alder @judith.alder (who exhibited with Devonshire Collective back in 2017) and recent exhibiting artist Mina Heydari-Waite @minaheydariwaite on their upcoming exhibitions. Opening today at @rbsagallery , Judith Alder ‘Vital Signs’ connects works that explore a preoccupation with the interconnectedness of all things and the impact of contemporary science now and in the future. The work queries how we feel about science and technology and the difficult ethical dilemmas created through scientific progress, often presenting fictitious scenarios somewhere between sci-fi and fairytale. February 14 - February 25 RBSA Gallery, Birmingham Mina Heydari-Waite ‘Dreamlands: An Exhibition’ is an installation of collaborative ceramic works and a new, sensory sound piece made in Dreamlands community workshops. The exhibition will also launch a new edition of the Dreamlands publication. Dreamlands is a cross-disciplinary project by that weaves together ideas arising in collaboration and conversation with the Dreamlands Pottery and In Walking Together We Make The Path - a series of social dreaming workshops, the most recent of which was held in response to Heydari-Waite’s exhibition at VOLT. The Dreamlands project asks: can the act of sharing our dreams create possibilities for new thought about how we occupy space in our shared waking world?
