2nd Solo Trek चांदवड किल्ला 🚩 इसवीसनाच्या अकराव्या शतकात यादवांच्या ताम्रपटात चांद्रादित्यपूरचा उल्लेख आढळतो. निजामशहाच्या काळात मुघल बादशहा शहाजहान याने शाहिस्तेखानाला महाराष्ट्रात पाठवले होते. शाहिस्तेखानाने आपला अधिकारी अलीवर्दीखानाकडे चांदवड परिसरातील किल्ले घेण्याची जबाबदारी सोपवली होती. इसवीसन १६३६ मध्ये अलीवर्दीखानाने चांदवड किल्ला आणि गाव जिंकून घेतले. दुसऱ्या सुरत लूटी नंतर छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज बागलाणातून राजगडावर जात होते. त्यासुमारास औरंगजेबाला सूरत लुटीची बातमी कळली आणि त्याने खानदेशचा सुभेदार दाऊदखान कुरेशी याला आदेश दिले की शिवाजी महाराजांकडून खजिना हस्तगत करावा. त्यानुसार दाऊदखान पाच हजार सैन्यानिशी चांदवड किल्ल्यावर पोहोचला. त्याने याठिकाणी कांचनाच्या लढाईची तयारी केली. छत्रपती संभाजी महाराजांच्या काळात इसवी सन १६८२ मध्ये मराठ्यांची एक तुकडी चांदवड वर चालून गेली होती. पहिल्या बाजीरावाच्या काळात चांदवड किल्ला पुन्हा मराठ्यांच्या ताब्यात आला. पुढे नानासाहेब पेशव्यांनी चांदवडचा किल्ला मल्हाराव होळकर यांच्या ताब्यात दिला. पेशव्यांच्या काळात चांदवड किल्ल्याचा वापर तुरुंग म्हणून केला जात असे. तुकोजी होळकर यांच्या कारकिर्दीत थोरल्या माधवराव पेशवे यांच्या परवानगीने किल्ल्यावर चांदोरी रुपयांची टांकसाळ चालू केली. इसवीसन अठराशे पर्यंत ही टांकसाळ किल्ल्यात होती व या टाकसाळीत चांदीची नाणी पाडली जात असत. इसवीसन अठराशे मध्ये किल्लेदार आणि टाकसाळ अधिकारी यांच्यातील तंट्यामुळे ही टाकसाळ चांदवड गावात हलवली गेली. याच वर्षी यशवंतराव होळकरांच्या सैन्यातील अहमद खान व आमिर खानाने मालेगाव व चांदवड लुटले. इसवीसन १८०४ मध्ये कर्नल वॉलेस याने चांदवडचा किल्ला जिंकून घेतला, परंतु तो किल्ला लगेचच होळकरांच्या ताब्यात देण्यात आला. इसवीसन १८१८ मध्ये थॉमस हिस्लॉप याने हा किल्ला जिंकून घेतला. इसवीसन १८२९ मध्ये चांदवड टांकसाळीतील चांदीच्या रुपयाची नाणी पाडण्याचे काम बंद करण्यात आले. १८३० मध्ये तांब्याची नाणी पाडण्याचे काम थांबवण्यात आले आणि त्यानंतर टांकसाळ बंद करण्यात आली. #musafir_chetan #chandwad #nashik #chandwadfort #indraifort #dhodapfort #salher #gadkille #gadkillemaharshtrache #gadkot #sahyadri #sahyadri_clickers #sahyadri_ig #maharashtraforts #19_february #shivajimaharaj #sambhajimaharaj #trekking #trek #rider #solotravel #traveller #raigad #sinhgad #pune #manojjarangepatil #musafir #love #sinhgad #trending #trend

Dhodap fort / धोड़प किल्ला . Documented as Dhorapavanki or Dharab during different periods in history, Dhodap fort was built in 1046CE the Dhodap Fort was captured by the Mughal forces in 1635. The Fort had its days of glory under the Peshwa rule, when it was one of the prime forts of Nashik. When Raghunath Rao, a Maratha general, plotted to overthrow and capture the throne of Peshwa Madhav Rao, he camped in this fort. The Peshwa’s forces advanced towards Dhodap, Raghunath Rao was captured and deported to Poona to be confined. In 1818, the Fort was taken over by the British. . We found an unused marketplace, and two hidden step wells, that are beyond beautiful. Along with fortifications, and other gates, stores, etc. this is a really good hike! . Esha, Anushka, and I left way too early (6am) from Bombay escape the traffic in Thane. The temperature was just perfect at 23°c at the base, and probably much colder on top, being the second tallest fort in the state! We climbed up in less than two hours, and chilled with the monkeys. The highest point we climbed up to was 1300m, and the total height is 1472m.
