The #BlackCauldron cel is unforunately from the era when Disney would laminate their cels, but it's in remarkably good shape in spite of it. The Oliver & Company cel is a great piece, matted with studio seal and COA.

While this piece has been on my website for a while, thought it was time to debut it on social media! This is a special watercolor and colored pencil rendition I did of Launchpad McQuack with two employers he once worked for: Scrooge McDuck on the show DuckTales, and Darkwing Duck on, well, Darkwing Duck. While I have worked for Disney Television Animation before, I was not around for when these two shows were first being made, but I sure did love them! So, this is fan art by a professional! . A couple of years ago, I was an invited guest at a Disney themed convention in northern California where the original voice of Launchpad, Terry McGovern, was also an invited guest. I did this piece especially for that particular convention. As you can see in the pic of me with Terry, I also brought along with me a Darkwing Duck cel I've had since I was a teenager. . Here it is, the 'last' section of The Lost Frogs Comic collection! We see this shelf twice, once for each of Sam's visits to The Frog Brothers Comic Shop. The Vampires Everywhere comic is hidden in plain sight as the camera moves past it, before Edgar Frog hands it to Sam. In the second scene, where we're watching Alan Frog on the other side of the aisle, we only see the top three rows, so my collection offering is, as usual, an amalgamation of available information. There's still one problem: what IS between the Battlestar Galactica books??! (swipe across to the third picture) I've used 'sophisticated A.I. techniques' to enhance and extend the image ('content aware fill' on Photoshop!) But I still can't tell what it is..! Any ideas out there? Please tell me! 🤞🏻🧛🏻♂️👍🏻 There is another column or two of shelf seen to the right, but it's contents are so unclear that I've decided to end where I did until such time as new information emerges. So, is this the 'last' section? Of course not! But it's taken me five years to get this far, with strong reference images from the film, so given what's left, completing new sections of @atlantisfantasyworld1020 circa 1986 could take rather a lot longer! It was Sleeping Beauty’s anniversary yesterday 🌟The 16th Disney animated feature film was released to theaters on January 29, 1959 Sleeping Beauty was the most ambitiously designed film made during Walt Disney’s lifetime. Disney wanted a film with consistent visual style, and he assigned Eyvind Earle to be responsible for the look of the entire film from beginning to end. Earle’s stunning designs for the film’s castle and forest scenes incorporate pre-Renaissance Gothic motifs with ideas borrowed from Persian miniature paintings and Japanese prints. No detail was too small to be considered. Earle spent up to ten days personally painting and refining each background – at a time when most other background designs for the studio were completed in one day.
